The main class of My Hero Academia has an eccentric but diverse cast of characters. Each comes with their own set of Quirks, whether they be power-based or personality-based, that makes them stand out among a room full of twenty super-powered students and their equally diverse teaching staff.
Interestingly, many of these personality traits just so happen to correspond to the zodiac. While they may be born under a different star, some members of Class 1-A are prime candidates for other star signs. Using the zodiac, fans can find the perfect member of Class 1-A they relate to the most.

Some of the signs listed aren't matched up with the characters' canonical birthdays because they may better represent certain stereotypes of these given signs.
12 Bakugo Katsuki
Aries
Aries are passionate trailblazers who always value their independence above all else. Armed with a competitive streak, Aries constantly push beyond their limits to prove why they're the best in whatever they do.
Bakugo is easily the most foul-mouthed and short-tempered student in Class 1-A. Bakugo is actually a Taurus, but his birthday falls so close to the deadline for Aries that it's safe to say he shares many traits with the fiery sign. Perpetually competitive and raring to go, Bakugo always boasts about his skills but recognizes that he has much to prove.
11 Izuku Midoriya
Taurus
Steadfast and loyal while also smart and ambitious, a Taurus tends to be the workhorse of the zodiac by putting forth an abundance of elbow grease. Deku is loyal to a fault, steadfast in the face of danger, and smart enough to analyze different hero and villain abilities.
Plus, Deku is ambitious enough to become a hero when he didn't even have a Quirk. He's definitely not a slacker and always works hard, feeling indebted to everybody who helped him get this far in the first place.
10 Mina Ashido
Gemini
Geminis are often unfairly characterized as two-faced snakes, but the dualistic air sign has much more to offer. In fact, many Geminis have more admirable qualities than dishonorable ones.
Mina is a busybody who feels at home in any social situation. Nobody is a stranger to her; she can walk right up to anybody and start a conversation. Like a typical Gemini, Mina also loves to gossip and get the juiciest dirt on all of her classmates, often pestering Uraraka to confess who she has a crush on.
9 Shoto Todoroki
Cancer
Cancers may seem prickly at first, but deep inside lies the heart of a true blue friend. They may not be the best at social interactions, but they still tend to win people over with their earnest attitude and their loyalty.
While initially introduced as a cold, standoffish loner, Todoroki eventually opened up to his friends and family. His loyalty is also clear as day. The young man is willing to potentially get in trouble and dress up as a host club member to help his friends save Bakugo.
8 Eijiro Kirishima
Leo
Warm-hearted, courageous, and overall hard-working, Leos know their place as king of the jungle doesn't come easy. They are more than willing to fight their way to the top of the pack.
Like a stone, Kirishima stands tough in front of whatever sort of adversity comes his way. More than happy to throw himself into danger for friends and strangers alike, he dedicates his effort to making his Quirk the best it can be. Even the usually prideful Bakugo can't deny Kirishima's strength and friendship.
7 Momo Yaoyorozu
Virgo
Virgos are known for being sophisticated and kind. They always have a tendency to help out their friends, even if it doesn't benefit them, without a single complaint. Virgos also always consider the bigger picture.
Momo Yaoyorozu is one of the most helpful students in Class 1-A. Her creation Quirk puts her peers at a great advantage since she can make whatever they need during a fight. Yaoyorozu is also a big-picture thinker, as demonstrated when she suggested disguises to blend in with other civilians when they went off to save Bakugo.
6 Denki Kaminari
Libra
Libras are flashy and appreciate when something has flair. Libras also tend to be a little bit airheaded and get carried away too easily. However, they also value harmony and keeping the peace.
Kaminari always tries to look cool in front of others. Combine that with his academically poor grades, and his tendency to lower his IQ as he increases his power, and he's the perfect Libra. He even attempts to flirt with whoever he can, like a typical Libra. Thankfully, he offsets those more annoying traits with Libra's tendency to be friendly and kind.
5 Fumikage Tokoyami
Scorpio
Scorpios are generally regarded as the darkest sign of the zodiac. Characterized by darkness and mystique, there's no better sign to classify Fumikage Tokoyami under. His Quirk, Dark Shadow, literally unleashes his dark side. He's made his love of darkness a personality trait, often musing about the concept of it.
Tokoyami considers the darkness his ally, and for a very good reason. Dark Shadow doesn't function well in broad daylight, so the darkness unleashes its full potential. Scorpios are also known for being passionate and loyal friends, which Tokoyami most certainly is.
4 Sero Hanta
Sagittarius
Sagittariuses are naturally people-oriented optimists who always lift the mood whenever they enter a room. They have adventurous spirits and always want to see what comes next. Most of all, they love figuring out their own path through life.
Hanta is a triple threat for a Sagittarius. He's a social butterfly who loves helping his friends out any chance he gets. As a hero, Hanta wants to prosper on his own while also inspiring others to do the same. His tape Quirk may not look like much, but it's optimal for adventuring around while fighting vicious villains.
3 Tenya Iida
Capricorn
Capricorns are diligent workers with a traditional mindset, so they're naturally inclined to enforce the rules on the books. They're natural leaders who do everything diligently. Iida Tenya, the class president of Class 1-A, embodies many of these traits.
Iida follows the straight and narrow by default. The only time he ever strays from that is during intense situations involving his family and friends. Iida is highly disciplined and very high-strung, expecting others to behave similarly. However, there's no denying that Iida always has his classmates' best interests at heart.
2 Tsuyu Asui
Aquarius
Above all, Aquariuses can be described as unique. Often marching to the beat of their own drum and doing things unlike anyone else has done them before. Though, if anything, they also possess a quiet determination.
Tsuyu Asui tends to keep a poker face, but she's one of Class 1-A's most unique students. Tsuyu tends to be the voice of reason amid her other classmates' loud personalities. Plus, she always worries about them and gets upset when they put themselves in harm's way. On top of that, Tsuyu always encourages her friends to drop the formalities and call her by her given name.
1 Ochako Uraraka
Pisces
Pisces is easily the most empathetic zodiac sign. They can guess how others are feeling and are great at reading a room. Often led by their gut reactions, Pisces can sense when someone is upset.
Uraraka definitely has shades of Pisces. As a friend, she is often in harmony with how those around her feel. She could even correctly guess that Tsuyu was upset despite her usual composure. Uraraka always trusts her gut instinct during a fight and knows exactly what kind of assistance her friends may need, like when she asked Shinso to help Deku when his Quirk went berserk.
