My Hero Academia is a massively popular shonen animated series starring Izuku Midoriya, the Quirkless boy who dreamed of saving the world. Izuku's heroic career was launched when he met his hero All Might, and gained the power of One For All. Ever since then, Izuku has gone on all kinds of adventures, and he's had his fair share of drama and fun, too.

Only a skilled voice actor could truly bring author Kohei Horikoshi's manga protagonist to life like that, and a certain Daiki Yamashita is the talent behind the voice of Izuku Midoriya in the original Japanese. Mr. Yamashita makes Izuku feel incredibly real and wonderfully human during action scenes, intimate moments and even comedy scenes, and he has lent this talent to other anime characters, too.

10 Narancia Ghirga The Stand-Using Punk (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)

The Golden Wind story arc introduced a handful of exciting and memorable characters to the broader story of My Hero Academia, and that includes Bruno Bucciarati and his team of Stand users, whom Giorno Giovanna soon met. Narancia Ghirga, voiced by Daiki Yamashita, was among them.

Narancia, like his friends, suffered greatly in his childhood, and had nowhere else to turn until Bruno recruited him. Now he's a rough but loyal ally of Giorno's, and he uses a long-ranged Stand named Aerosmith that resembles a fighter plane.

9 Zeke Yeager's Childhood Was A Tricky One (Attack On Titan)

Attack on Titan Young Zeke

Zeke Yeager is the warrior who wields the Beast Titan, and his primary voice actor is Takehito Koyasu, the same as Dio Brando in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. However, Mr. Koyasu would be an odd choice to voice a young Zeke Yeager in flashback scenes, so Daiki Yamashita handled that role.

Daiki Yamashita helps bring Zeke's troubled boyhood in the Marley Empire to life, the days when Zeke lived in the Eldian internment zone and struggled with the serious pressure that was placed upon him. He would soon become a great warrior, or else.

8 Naoto Hachioji Is A Meek Art Student (Don't Toy With Me, Ms. Nagatoro!)

naoto nervous nagatoro

Don't Toy With Me, Ms. Nagatoro! is a slice-of-life comedy series set in a typical Japanese high school, making it quite different from series like My Hero Academia and Attack on Titan. Still, voice actor Daiki Yamashita is up to the task, and he voiced the protagonist, Naoto Hachioji, in true style.

Unlike Izuku or Narancia, Naoto is a meek and soft-spoken boy who lets his exquisite sketches do the talking. He likes to be left alone, but alas, the rambunctious troublemaker Hayase Nagatoro declared herself his friend and minor bully, so now he's got a lot on his plate. The two of them are learning to get along bit by bit.

7 Yushiro Is A Benevolent Demon (Demon Slayer)

Yushiro points an accusatory finger in Demon Slayer.

Most demons are bloodthirsty killers, and they are like Japan's version of vampires, including a weakness to sunlight. However, a few demons have learned to restrain their brutal instincts and integrate themselves more peacefully with humanity, and that includes Tamayo and her adoring assistant, Yushiro.

Yushiro has a fairly minor role in Demon Slayer as a whole, but his loyalty to Tamayo is commendable, and he did his part to help Tanjiro find a cure for Nezuko. This was a chance for Daiki Yamashita to voice a punkish character like Narancia, rather than a good guy like Izuku or Naoto.

6 Mitsuru Sotsuda Is An Aspiring Reporter (Food Wars!)

Mitsuru Sotsuda is a minor character in the story of Food Wars!, but he is likable in his own way, and he has a charming and pleasant voice thanks to Daiki Yamashita's hard work. Mitsuru is a Totsuki student, except he's in middle school instead of high school, meaning he is not Soma Yukihira's classmate.

Not much is seen of Mitsuru's cooking style or preferences. Instead, this lovable minor character is known for his passion for reporting, and he plans to be a reporter someday. Every decent school needs a newspaper club to keep students current on major campus events, after all.

5 Yotasuke Takahashi Is A Serious Art Student (Blue Period)

Yotasuke Blue Period Episode 4

The hero of Blue Period is Yatora Yaguchi, a high school student who decided to pursue art and express himself the best way he knows how. He has a lot of catching up to do before he can pass his exams to get into the Tokyo University of Art, or TUA, and he's got some stiff competition.

For example, there's the moody but talented young artist Yotasuke Takahashi, voiced by none other than Daiki Yamashita. He's not easy to get along with, but he's slowly gaining respect for Yatora and his unique art style. They just might become good friends before long.

4 Jun Is A Salamander (Sword Art Online)

Jun sao

Sword Art Online teleported video game players to another world and forced them fight clear all 100 levels of Aincrad, or perish for real. Protagonist Kirito survived along with his friend Asuna Yuuki, and later, they started playing AFLheim Online. Daiki Yamashita voiced a minor character for this story arc, Jun.

Jun had a limited impact on the story as a whole, but this Salamander-class fairy character is still easy to like, and fans of Daiki Yamashita's voice acting should find plenty to like about him. And best of all, no one will die in real life if they perish in ALFheim Online.

3 Naito Is Kou's Good Friend (Ao Haru Ride)

Futaba Yoshioka and Kou Mabuchi

Ao Haru Ride is a shojo drama series starring the heroine Futaba Yoshioka, who often tries to act less feminine so other girls won't be quite so jealous. In fact, Futaba ended up making herself unremarkable, but she does have a friend in Kou, and Kou has a friend, too -- Naito.

Naito is a fairly minor character voiced by Daiki Yamashita, and he went to the same middle school as Futaba and Kou. He's also rather curious about how far their relationship has gone, but Futaba isn't always so keen on telling him.

2 Tetsuro Arahabaki Has Been Experimented Upon (No Guns Life)

tetsuro NGL

Tetsuro does not have an easy life, even if he does have some gifts with his implants. He was the subject of some experiments that left him mentally scarred, and he absolutely despises the people who did this to him and other kids his age.

Tetsuro can use his abilities to control other extends, but at a cost, and it's risky to push his abilities too far. Notably, he is also the son of Soichiro Arahabaki, the CEO of Beruhren Corps. He's a much darker hero than Izuku, that's for sure.

1 Rikuto Ikeda Was A Gung-Ho Student (Assassination Classroom)

classroom rikuto ikeda

Assassination Classroom has a fairly large cast of characters, and that includes the minor character Rikuto Ikeda, whose lively and cheerful personality really stands out when Daiki Yamashita is voicing him.

Rikuto attended cram school, and despite his best efforts, he couldn't just skip class. He also befriended Gakuho Asano, but the happiness wouldn't last. Due to constant bullying, he tragically took his own life, and this prompted Gakuho to become a cold and stern board chairman who wants to only raise "strong" students who won't end up like Rikuto.
