In the hit animated series My Hero Academia, we are introduced to a world where superpowers, known as quirks, are commonplace, not rare mutations like in X-Men. Around 80% of all people have quirks, and the bravest and strongest adolescents can enroll at hero schools such as UA and Shiketsu to become pro heroes.

One such student at UA is the man himself, Eijiro Kirishima. He's tough but cool, and a great friend all around. He uses his strength and iron will to fight for good and protect the innocent, and we're rooting for him all the way. So, here are 10 cosplayers who have reenacted Kirishima, or Red Riot, and these cosplays are too good to pass up. These are some dedicated fans, for sure.

10 Taking It Easy

We begin the list with a cosplayer who totally captures the essence of the cool-guy Eijiro Kirishima. Here he is in class, and we're guessing that either he got here early, or he's the last to leave, and he's in no hurry.

This cosplayer's black outfit contrasts nicely with Kirishima's bright red hair and sunny disposition, and the red tie is a great way to break up that dark color scheme. And we love those shoes too, which are practical sneakers for a hard day of sports or running track. Eijiro is hardly a couch potato, after all.

9 On A Mission

Many cosplayers like to appear with other characters from the same franchise. In this scene, we get Kirishima alongside Amaki, a 3rd-year student who can eat foods and morph his body parts into the animal of origin. As a hero, he calls himself Suneater.

Both boys took part in the mission to rescue Eri and take down Overhaul, and both of them were fantastic against the many masked warriors whom Overhaul sent against them. In this shot, Kirishima is proud and radiant, and Suneater is a bit more modest but no less serious. What a fine team they make.

8 Results Of Training

Our third cosplayer took a few shots in the middle of a grassy field, and perhaps they chose this spot to remove any background clutter... or show off the kind of empty field that makes for a good training ground? You could practice all kinds of quirk battles in that open space.

This cosplayer gives us Kirishima's confident grin, and what is more, those arms have lines drawn on them, to represent Kirishima's distinctive hardening quirk. We also like that action pose, where the stern right angles match Kirishima's unyielding nature.

7 A Job Well Done

Usually, cosplayers will face the camera, but for some cinematic or manga-worthy shots, they will face away from the camera instead, such as to gaze into a sunset or show off a standoffish character who is storming out of the scene.

In this case, Kirishima and Izuku have just wrapped up another tough mission, but based on that fist-bump action, they are feeling good about the results. And just look at those wigs! Those are some of the most convincing My Hero Academia costume wigs we've seen so far.

6 Dragon Kirishima?

Quick disclaimer: thus far in the anime, Kirishima has not sprouted wings or horns. Rykyu the pro hero does morph into a dragon, though. In this shot, we are treated to a cosplayer who imagined a high-fantasy version of Eijiro Kirishima, and it sure paid off.

It makes total sense, given Kirishima's tough and go-getter attitude and the hardness of his quirk. It's like dragon scales, and we love these prosthetic wings and the twin black horns to create the dragon look. Not to mention those two daggers and those killer boots.

5 Hard As Diamond

This short video shows us an Eijiro Kirishima cosplayer who truly took things to the next level. To begin with, they have some convincing prosthetic hair in Kirishima's trademark spikes, and his hero costume is on point (in more way than one).

But look at that outfit! This cosplayer is showing off the full effects of Kirishima's hardening quirk, and it's both terrifying and impressive to see. No villain will stand a chance of breaking him now. Those sharp teeth are a great touch, too, like Kirishima's own shark-ish teeth.

4 Kirishima And Friends

Eijiro Kirishima isn't afraid to duke it out against his enemies in an honorable man-to-man battle, but then again, he's not a total loner. Kirishima gets along pretty well with his classmates, especially Bakugo and Izuku.

In this shot, Kirishima is in his hero costume and looking good, from his exquisite wig to the special effects for his six-pack and his hero costume. All four heroes here are looking quite hopeful, and no villain would dare cross this group. Kirishima would be the shield, and the rest would release some serious firepower.

3 Queen Of Steel

Gender bender cosplays are some of the most creative and innovative out there. Gender benders, of course, are when a character is reimagined as the opposite sex. A number of My Hero Academia characters have been represented this way, and now, it's Kirishima's turn.

This cosplayer did a fine job imagining a young lady Kirishima, and the pointed red and black theme is authentic to the character while her tall boots, makeup, and gown-like outfit give the character a brand-new feminine look. She's the kind of tough girl you want by your side when the villains attack, for sure.

2 Kirishima The Elegant Hero

Lady Kirishima cosplay is so much fun, we decided to include a second entry. It looks like there is more than one way to redesign Kirishima/Red Riot as a girl, as the previous entry gave her a gown-like outfit, and this one goes in a different direction.

This time around, girl-Kirishima has a leaner and lighter outfit that is well suited for high-mobility combat, from those punk boots to the short skirt to her steely mask. Just look at all those details, from the boots' studs and plates to the chains and leather on her chest. It's outstanding!

1 Brothers In Battle

Fans simply adore the friendship between Kirishima and the hot-headed Katsuki Bakugo, and these two cosplayers wrap our list with some excellent cosplays of both characters, side by side on the battlefield streets.

Any villain they fight sure isn't going to last long, between Kirishima's human-shield prowess and Bakugo's fierce ranged attacks. Just for fun, Kirishima borrowed one of Bakugo's grenade props, but we imagine he'll hand it right back once the fighting starts!
