10 Can: Mirio Togata

Mirio Togata is a student of U.A and the strongest of the Big Three. He's said to be the man closest to All Might even among the pro Heroes, which means that he's extremely powerful. Mirio's Quirk is called Permeation and although its powers aren't great, Mirio has trained it to an extreme degree.

While he has lost his Quirk, for now, there is little doubt in the minds of the fans that it'll return to him at some point in the future. Once it does, he'll be leading the race for the Number One spot once again.

9 Can't: Kirishima

Kirishima is one of the students of U.A's Class 1-A, just like Izuku Midoriya. He wields the Quirk known as Hardening, and as the name suggests, it allows him to harden any part of his body to an extreme degree where he barely takes any damage at all.

Although Kirishima is yet to fulfill his full potential, we do know that he's definitely not someone who'll take the Number One role. Even among his peers, he is nowhere close to being the strongest.

8 Can: Izuku Midoriya

All might and deku

Izuku is the protagonist of the My Hero Academia manga and he's the one All Might, the strongest Hero in history, chose as his successor. Izuku wields the power of One For All, the same Quirk that All Might once had in his possession.

With it, he'll get even stronger than he was before and we're certain that he's going to surpass Endeavor at one point and take the Number One role for himself. In fact, by the prologue of the story, we know for a fact that Izuku Midoriya becomes the Number One Hero in the future.

7 Can't: Ochaco Uraraka

Uraraka from My Hero Academia confessing her want for money

Another one of Midoriya's classmates, Ochaco is a strong Hero aspirant who wields the power of Zero Gravity, a Quirk that lets her make things float upon touching them. Her powers have earned her the Hero name of Uravity.

While she's strong, she still has a long way to go if she wishes to reach the top. By the end of the series, Ochaco might be one of the ten strongest Heroes at best, however, she certainly doesn't have what it takes to become the Number One and replace Endeavor.

6 Can: Bakugo Katsuki

Bakugo is Midoriya's rival and just like him, he aims to become the Number One Hero in the future of the series. His strength is relative to Midoriya and some might argue that he's a bit stronger.

Bakugo is one of Endeavor's students and we're certain that he's got what it takes to replace Endeavor in the future of the series. Whether he becomes the Number One or not remains to be seen, however, he definitely has the tools to pull it off.

5 Can't: Monoma

Neito Monoma grinning in frustration in My Hero Academia

Monoma is one of the students of Class 1-B and he possesses a rather troublesome ability. His Quirk is known as Copy, and as the name suggests, it lets him copy the Quirk of any other person. However, some conditions need to be met before he can actually do that.

While Monoma's Quirk is definitely strong, it isn't powerful enough to take him to the Number One spot. To be able to do that, Monoma has to train a lot harder and perfect his Quirk usage.

4 Can: Shoto Todoroki

shoto todoroki serious mha

Shoto Todoroki is just as powerful as Midoriya and Bakugo, if not stronger than them. He's the son of Endeavor and he wields a Quirk known as Half-Cold Half-Hot that lets him control both ice and fire.

According to Endeavor, Shoto has the power to surpass All Might, which means he's got it in him to surpass Endeavor as well. Upon completely mastering his Quirk, he will definitely be worthy of taking the Number One spot.

3 Can't: Denki Kaminari

Denki Kaminari looking confused in My Hero Academia.

Denki is another powerful student from Class 1-A who aims to become a splendid pro Hero in the future. His Quirk is known as Electrification and it allows him to control electricity at will.

While the Quirk itself is very powerful, Denki's usage of it is what makes him a mixed bag. While he's great at times, he appears to be underwhelming at others. Recently, he has stepped up and shown what he's truly capable of, but even then, he's not powerful enough to replace Endeavor as the Number One.

2 Can: Hawks

Also known as the Wing Hero, Hawks is the current Number 2 Hero and someone who has tremendous power up his sleeve. As the second most powerful Hero right now, he's certainly capable of closing the gap between him and Endeavor, and possibly even replacing as the strongest Hero.

While the next generation of Heroes still has quite some time until they actually get to become pro Heroes, Hawks has no such restrictions and can go ahead and replace Endeavor if he tries hard enough.

1 Can't: Best Jeanist

Best Jeanist in MHA.

Best Jeanist is the current Number Three Hero who is considered to be one of the most underrated Heroes among the fans. Although he isn't the strongest out there, he certainly isn't weak either and he does succeed at most tasks assigned to him without any problems.

However, overtaking Endeavor as the Number One is a mammoth task for him. He hasn't shown any massive improvements since the beginning of the series, it goes without saying that now, his chances of becoming the Number One are limited.
