Despite being one of the more minor side characters in My Hero Academia, fans still love Mei Hatsume. Mei is first introduced during the U.A. Sports Festival, where she wanted to compete in order to show off her inventions. Mei comes off as a very aggressive character who loves nothing more than creating interesting technology.

She loves getting heroes to try out her newest inventions, even if things don't go quite the way she planned. Mei's enthusiasm is one of the most lovable parts about her character, and in the show, it is even stated that she has no fear of failure, allowing her to easily push through her failures. This puts her in the same league as some other very memorable, very smart characters outside of the universe of MHA.

10 Ringo Oohoshi — High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even In Another World

One of the newest anime inventors is a small girl named Ringo, who appears in the series High School Prodigies Have it Easy Even in Another World. As the name suggests, a group of incredibly talented high schoolers get teleported to another world where they apparently have as few strugglers as they did back home.

Out of these high schoolers, there is Ringo, a girl with the ability to build up a world with little to no modern technology and even make a nuclear power plant from scratch.

9 Bulma — Dragon Ball Z

Bulma, Dragon ball

Bulma is an incredibly headstrong woman that has been around since Dragon Ball. She is probably the only character in the series with a strong enough personality to handle being married to the prideful Saiyan Prince Vegeta.

Bulma not only has a great personality, but she is literally a genius and has built some of the most high-tech gadgets that the world has ever seen, some of them even helping the Z Fighter prepare for battles.

Winry is the childhood friend of Fullmetal Alchemist protagonist Edward Elric. Despite her young age, Winry is quite adept at working in engineering and is one of the few reasons why Edward is able to have somewhat of a normal life.

Winry was able to build Edward his arm and leg replacement and regularly did maintenance on them throughout the series to ensure that he could keep fighting.

5 Senku — Dr. Stone

For fans that love Shonen Jump series, Senku from Dr. Stone is a perfect choice. Senku is the protagonist of the series, extremely confident, and possibly the most intelligent person the Earth has ever seen.

Senku wakes up in a world turned to stone and literally starts rebuilding society using the knowledge he has retained along with the small number of resources around him.

2 Kayaba Akihiko — Sword Art Online

Fans looking for a darker character to support may be interested in Kayaba Akihiko from Sword Art Online. Kayaba is the inventor responsible for making NerveGear and entrapping gamers within a video game.

Kayaba was seen as a genius and was rich by the age of 18, according to the series lore. Kayaba was so involved with his invention that he also trapped himself within Aincrad along with all the other players.

1 Hakase — Nichijou

Hakase comes from the Nichijou series, where she is shown to be a young but a talented scientist. She usually makes inventions that don't do much to further the human race but rather entertain her or her friends.

In addition, Hakase even built a robot character named Nano, who ends up going to school with her. Nichijou is a very light-hearted show, but there is no doubt that Hakase is another anime genius fans of Mei will love.
