La Brava and Gentle Criminal were the antagonists of the School Festival arc, a storyline that occurred in the latter half of My Hero Academia season four. The former is able to dramatically increase the strength of the latter once per day, rendering her beloved a capable threat even against Izuku Midoriya.

Though the two villains may be a strong pair, they prefer to avoid physical confrontation altogether, and with good reason. There are many quirks and duos whose deadliness eclipses their own. By identifying the groupings stronger and weaker than them, it helps to determine an accurate gauge for the power of partnership in the world of MHA.

10 Weaker: Twice & Toga

himiko with twice mha

Twice and Toga were members of the League of Villains. The former's quirk allowed him to duplicate anything (including himself), and the latter could assume the likeness of whoever she consumed the blood of.

However, even applying Twice's generous (and powerful) manga iteration, Gentle Criminal could create elastic air barriers around him to prevent prolific cloning. Considering that the antagonist is lacking physical strength, he would be unable to break free. The charming villain could then turn his attention to Toga and defeat her with little effort on account of his augmented might.

9 Stronger: Bakugo & Deku

Deku and Bakugo Using One For All at 100 Percent, My Hero Academia

Bakugo and Deku are the main characters of the My Hero Academia universe, each possessing unparalleled strength. Izuku Midoriya alone was able to overcome the combined efforts of Gentle and La Brava, seen through their canon interaction outside of U.A's grounds.

Should Kacchan be introduced to the dynamic, the battle would be even shorter. He is not opposed to attacking La Brava head on (with his ruthless proven in his fight against Uraraka), therefore distracting the villain and preventing him from fighting Deku as efficiently as he could.

8 Weaker: Tetsutetsu & Kirishima

 Similar: Respect For Each Other

Superficially, Tetsutetsu and Kirishima may seem like a massive challenge for the two villains to overcome. Each of them possesses enormous strength and durability, with the latter able to obliterate concentrate with his bare hands (and the former wielding comparable strength).

However, they lack the mobility by which to apprehend Gentle. Therefore, should he cavort through the sky on rubberized air, he would be able to define the terms of the fight, waiting until his pursuers were exhausted before using La Brava's enhancement and defeating them. Considering that he could withstand punches from Deku's One For All, he would able to survive similar abuse from the hardening heroes.

7 Stronger: Endeavor & Hawks

Hawks greets Endeavor

Endeavor and Hawks are the new number one and two heroes of Japanese society after All Might's retirement. Individually, they are formidable, each able to defeat powerful villains through their own merit.

As a unit, the heroes are nearly unstoppable, especially when Hawks uses his feathers to enhance Endeavor's already stellar speed. Though Gentle has displayed a resilience against physical attacks, he has no such tenacity against sheer heat. Considering that Enji Todoroki had incinerated High-End on a molecular level, he would be able to exploit his opponent's comparatively pitiful defenses and kill him outright.

6 Weaker: Kaminari & Mina

Individually, Kaminari and Mina have decently powerful quirks. The lightning hero can shoot bolts from his fingers or unleash magnificent torrents of electricity from his entire body. Ashido is similarly useful, capable of sliding across acid for mobility and using it as a lethal projectile.

However, considering that Gentle can harden the air around him, he is able to deflect both of their attacks with relatively minimal effort. With their lack of teamwork (proven through Nezu's trial), they would not be able to strategize a solution before the villains defeated them.

5 Stronger: Eraserhead & Present Mic

Eraserhead and Present Mic may have polarizing personalities, but they could not be a more viable duo. They have a number of means in which to defeat Gentle Criminal and La Brava, especially if they capitalize on Mic's range.

If Aizawa targets Aiba, he is able to weaken Gentle enough for Present Mic to finish him off. If he focuses his quirk on Gentle, it would force the villain to rely on his physical strength alone in order to defeat Eraserhead. Given that the hero has survived the direct attacks of a nomu, the outlaw isn't likely to defeat him before La Brava's power expires.

4 Weaker: Tsuyu & Mineta

mineta, tsuyu, my hero academia

Tsuyu and Mineta have experience in working together, seen through their tenacity in surviving Shigaraki's first attack on U.A High. Froppy is particularly capable near bodies of water, but her pliable legs and athletic form grant her advantages in any terrain.

However, they suffer many of the deficits that Kaminari and Ashido do. Tsuyu's only means of defeating Gentle head on is if Mineta restrains him with his sticky balls, and since the villain can block them with concentrated air, they stand no hope of connecting with their target. Therefore, Gentle could use his superior strength to defeat Froppy, felling the grape hero shortly after.

3 Stronger: Rappa & Hekiji

Kirishma vs. Rappa

Rappa and Hekiji made a perfect "sword and shield" combination when matched together. Their only limitation is that the bruiser cannot harm his enemies so long as his ally's shield remains active.

However, unlike Chisaki's minions, the lovers are forced to fight on a time table. Therefore, Rappa could wait comfortably until Gentle has exhausted himself on Hekiji's barrier, waiting until it goes down before unleashing a fist barrage his opponent could not endure.

2 Weaker: Jiro & Koji

Anime koji jiro Cropped

Jiro and Koji were tasked with defeating Present Mic. Their quirks allowed them to unleash sound waves and commune with animals, respectively.

Though they were successful in their assignment, they would not find nearly as much fortune against Gentle and La Brava. Neither of them possess the strength to contend with the villain if he engages in a direct confrontation, and Koji's quirk is only useful with time and the correct environment. As a result, they are easy to overwhelm if Criminal takes immediate action in the skirmish.

1 Stronger: Todoroki & Yaoyorozu

Shoto Todoroki and Momo Yaoyorozu work together in My Hero Academia

Momo's "Creation" quirk may not be particularly useful against Gentle considering his affinity with bending solid objects. As a consequence, he could render most of the utilities she conjured against him obsolete, depleting her energy in the process.

Though he may similarly be able to distort Shoto's glaciers, he has no answer for the fire the young hero can exude. Considering that he can skate across his ice to increase his mobility, this would make him a treacherous and lethal opponent to face. While Gentle is distracted, Momo could also target La Brava, using her superior combat skills to detain her.
