Kyoka Jiro is a Hero aspirant studying in Class 1-A at U.A High School. Just like Midoriya and everyone else in the class, Jiro is aiming to become a strong pro Hero once she graduates. One of the young generation members, Jiro has great potential which will see her becoming a powerful Hero someday.

10 Her Hero Name

Just like any other Hero aspirants, Kyoka Jiro has a Hero name for herself. While there are some whose Hero names are based on their nicknames, such as Midoriya being known as Deku, the same isn't the case with Kyoka Jiro.

Jiro's Hero name is inspired by her Quirk, Earphone Jack, and she goes by the name of Hearing Hero: Earphone Jack. This not only sends a shiver down the spines of her enemies, but also pays tribute to her, and her mother's Quirk which she has a strong belief in.

9 Her Fighting Style

Being a Hero, it is essential for Jiro to have her own fighting style and over the years, she's developed a specific style that lets her shine the most. While Jiro may not be strong when it comes to fighting enemies one on one, she's an excellent support character.

This is why Jiro is a Medium Range Support fighter as that's when she shines more than any other time.  Jiro gets into battles ensuring that she gets to use her ability to the fullest, which means she is, more often than not, accompanied by someone who can lead from the front.

8 Her Personality

Jiro has quite a unique duality about her. On one side, she's seen as one of the most snarky students in U.A who likes teasing others and punishing them for their behavior when necessary. However, there are times when she's seen socializing with those who she loves without any problems.

This makes Jiro one of the most fun and interesting characters in the My Hero Academia series who is always seen as someone full of emotions, be it her friendly nature, or condescending one.

7 Her Talent

Although Kyoka has enrolled in a Hero course, there are lots of other things that's she's talented in, such as being an exceptional musician. Thanks to her parents, Jiro has found her way around a couple of instruments.

Initially, she was scared of showing her talents because of the fact that this skill of hers was unrelated to her Hero course. However, she seems to have grown past it after the events of the Cultural Festival arc of My Hero Academia.

6 Her Fighting Capabilities

Jiro is more than capable of taking down strong enemies, thanks to her Quirk, known as Earphone Jack. Using its powers, Jiro is able to send vibrations into the bodies of her enemies to incapacitate them, and sometimes even defeat them. As mentioned above, Jiro is most suited to ranged combat, so she prefers having a partner with her.

What's more, Jiro is also skilled with a sword. During the U.S.J arc, Kyoka Jiro was seen fighting against the invaders with a sword that Yaoyorozu Momo made for her using the Creation Quirk.

5 Her Moves

Jiro hasn't been focused on as much as some of the other characters that we've seen in My Hero Academia. Consequently, very little has been seen of her in action. So far, Jiro has revealed only two of her techniques. The first one, called Headbutt Fuzz, allows Jiro to channel her heartbeat through the floor whilst amplifying it, which causes cracks in the ground.

The second technique, known as Heartbeat Surround, is activated when she throws her equipment towards her enemies which channels her loud heartbeat and incapacitates her foes.

4 Her Stats

Jiro has quite impressive stats when compared to some of her classmates. While she isn't near the top, she isn't close to the bottom either. So far, Jiro has managed to gather a 3/6 in both speed and power, showing she isn't bad at either of those.

When it comes to technique and intelligence, Jiro has a rather impressive 4/6, which just goes to show that she's someone who fights it smart. She also has a 5/6 in No Music No Life, which complements her music-loving nature.

3 Her Name

My Hero Academia's creator, Kohei Horikoshi, is very clever with the names of his characters. As such, Jiro is an exception. Her name is known to include the Kanji for 'ear', which hints towards the placement of her Quirk, Earphone Jack.

Furthermore, it also has the kanji for sound/reverberation, which is a clear indication of how her ability functions. Horikoshi has made an excellent character in Jiro, and it goes without saying that this name is quite fitting for her.

2 Her Popularity

Jiro's popularity among the manga readers has gone back and forth. In the first poll, Jiro placed 16th, while the second one saw her take a massive leap in the 7th place. The Third Popularity Poll saw Jiro fall back among the 20s, and she held the rank of 22nd most popular characters in the series.

In the recent Fourth Popularity Poll for My Hero Academia, Kyoka Jiro's rank hasn't improved by much. She's jumped up from the 22nd spot to the 21st spot. However, much of it is because she rarely ever gets action.

1 Her Mid-Term Grades

Just like everything else about her, Kyoka Jiro's midterm grades have been decent, if anything. According to the official date that we have on her, Jiro placed 7th in Class 1-A's midterms. This is fairly impressive and goes to show that's she's among the smartest characters in My Hero Academia.

Although she isn't among the top five yet, she's certainly done more than enough and will only go on to improve in the future of the series. Undoubtedly, Jiro will turn out to be a fabulous Hero by the end of My Hero Academia.
