My Hero Academia: Heroes: Rising released recently, and it's been going gangbusters—at least for an anime movie. The film takes place a fair bit after where we currently are in the anime, which is a pretty interesting choice, asit means that this film is rife with spoilers. Granted, most of them are pretty inconsequential in the grand scheme of things, but there are some that really shouldn't have been there. In any case, here are the worst spoilers we found.

10 Black Fallen Angel

Black Fallen Angel, the Super Move that allows Class 1-A's Tokoyami to fly, makes him even more powerful and is one of our favorite moves in the show. Why? Because it feels like the sort of science a child would think up. Dark Shadow doesn't have legs, it just sort of flies out of Tokoyami's stomach and does what he says. So, that sort of mean it flies, right?

Well, what if it picked up Tokoyami himself? And that's as far as it goes. Tokoyami literally stuffs Dark Shadow into his jacket and lets it lift him up. The reveal of this move is so amazing and watching him slowly figure it out while interning with Hawks is even better, so we're pretty bummed they just jumped right to it in the movie.

9 Deku's Finished Gloves And Sleeves

So, depending on when this article publishes, Deku will have either just figured out how to use his gloves in the anime or figured it out in the last episode. In either case, the guy just got those support items that morning, and he really isn't used to them yet.

Seeing him pull off one Delaware Air Force was the climax of the first episode of him fighting Gentle Criminal. But, in the movie, he has the Gloves with the matching sleeves, and he uses it like it's second nature. This is a pretty minor one, but, remember, when the movie release, Deku hadn't even received the gloves yet in the current episode.

8 Doctor Kyudai Garaki's Appearance

Doctor Kyudai Garaki is a pretty huge spoiler for the anime-only fans. For one, he looks almost exactly like the doctor that told Deku he was Quirkless. Two, he's the doctor who invented the Nomu's, which classifies him as an insanely dangerous villain. And, three, we didn't even know he was performing AfO-like surgeries on people until this film.

So, technically, it sort of spoiled something for even the people caught up to the manga! Until a big twist happens, the Doctor is a spoiler, but not the worst one. But, still, there's no reason he should've been revealed in this film, they easily could have just made him a voice coming out of a computer as they did for All for One originally.

7 Tokoyami's Internship With Hawks

Like we said before, the Number Two Hero Hawks makes an appearance in this film. In fact, he's sort of all over it. It was an odd choice to include him, but they used it to start tying him to the League of Villains, which was smart.

Still, what boggled our minds is that they made sure that Hawks was the one the saved Tokoyami from the rubble in the aftermath of the fight. Why? Just to show us that they know each other? Anime-only fans would have no way of understanding that. This film was both for and against people who only watch the anime, and it's confusing.

6 Deku's Multi-Quirk Aptitude

Alright, this is the big one. The big mamma-jamma and the goliath of all spoilers included in this movie. Frankly, we can't believe they did it! All they had to do was let one more story arc play out in the anime, and it would have been revealed naturally. We're of course talking about the fact that Deku's One for All is more than just one Quirk.

This power holds on to the memories and stored abilities of all its previous holders. Up until now, we thought that just meant it stockpiled an absurd amount of strength, but it holds on to their Quirks, as well! Meaning that Deku technically has up to seven other Quirks rumbling around in him. Of course, the manga kids already know about two, but this is still way too early.

5 One For All Makes Its Own Decisions

Again, this was another small spoiler manga fans were also surprised about. Up until now, we've known about the "vestiges" as Deku likes to call them. This can be defined as the will of the previous holders of One for All. Basically their memories, and now even their Quirks. And, while it's pretty absurd that a Quirk can store memories, it's even more absurd that a Quirk could make decisions. Yet, at the end of this film, One for All makes the choice for an unconscious Deku to transfer back from Bakugo to him, using All Might as an intermediary. It's a great visual in the movie but doesn't make much sense. So are the previous holders "alive" within One for All?

4 Nine Was Actually Canon Already

Here is one of the rare instances of something from the movie retroactively being spoiled in previous manga chapters. Basically, there was a panel in manga chapter 222 where Shigaraki utters the phrase "why not just destroy everything?" And, behind him, there's a collage of a ton of things.

Well, in the bottom left, there's a figure we recognize now to be Nine. This chapter came out around the time the movie was first announced to be in production in 2019, so maybe this was Horikoshi's way of teasing it a bit. But, obviously, no one picked up on it and fans are just now noticing it when re-reading the series. Honestly, it's just a neat little easter egg.

3 One For All's Complex Mechanics

One of the questions we always had about My Hero Academia while watching/reading it the first time is simply this: why didn't All for One just take One for All back? His Quirk lets him steal other ones, and he gave All for One the stockpile Quirk originally. Yet, with all the previous holders and all the times' things have come to blows, this deranged Villain hasn't attempted to steal back what he gave?

The "One for All has a will of its own" part explains it somewhat, but we also find out in this movie that it also technically counts as eight different Quirks. This explains why Nine can't steal it, but it might also explain why AfO can't either.

2 The League Of Villains Bullet Replication

So, the last we heard from Shigaraki and the League of Villains in the anime, the kids had just successfully taken the Quirk-Erasing bullets from Overhaul in one of the most horrifying ways imaginable. But, in Heroes Rising, it's expressly stated at the beginning of the film that they're making moves again and that they've started to replicate the bullets.

Leaving aside how they even managed to replicate something that needs Eri's flesh and blood, this spoils the fact that Shigaraki is growing as a leader and overall villain, while also divulging the fact that this ragtag group of misfits is starting to come up with more complicated schemes.

1 The Doctors Lab

And, finally, the last spoiler we noticed, and one of the briefest ones is the Doctor's office. Doctor Garaki has a hidden lab somewhere in Japan, and we don't know what he does there. Or, at least we wouldn't before this movie came out.

Now, we know that it is where he makes the Nomu's (one of which will be appearing in the fighting game sequel), we know its a mess of cables and test-tube pods, and we know it's where he performed the surgery on Nine. Again, not the biggest of spoilers, but it is kind of early to show the viewers where most of the villainous stuff in the story has been happening. Or, at least, we think so.
