Back in the day, he was closely associated with All For One as well— however, his job right now is to look after the next big villain on the rise, Shigaraki Tomura. Although Gigantomachia has been in the story for quite some time now, most facts about him remain unknown to all but the most diligent of viewers/readers.

10 He Is Humongous

My Hero Academia Gigantomachia

Gigantomachia isn't like your average humans in the My Hero Academia world. He is mostly seen as a giant who can tower above everyone at a height of about 82 feet.

Usually, his height varies and he can even go down to smaller sizes. However, in combat, or whenever he needs to unleash his maximum power, he grows exponentially in size. He's also used as a means of transport by some members of the League of Villains became of his massive stature.

Before serving under Shigaraki Tomura, Gigantomachia was one of the many servants of All For One. What set him apart from the rest, however, was the fact that he was All For One's personal bodyguard.

Taking that position means that he has more than enough strength up his sleeve to defend All For One and that he cannot be stopped by any hero using regular means.

8 His Purpose Is To Serve Shigaraki Tomura

Although All For One chose him as his personal bodyguard, Gigantomachia is known to have been prepared for an even bigger job and that is to serve the next big evil, Shigaraki Tomura. All For One prepared him for this specific reason, knowing that he may not be around forever.

In case something were to happen to him, it would fall on Gigantomachia to ensure that Shigaraki's dreams come to fruition and that he manages to build the world exactly the way he wants.

7 He Has Multiple Quirks

Gigantomachia, being the former bodyguard of All For One, has multiple Quirks up his sleeve, which is hardly a surprise. My Hero Academia has seen several characters with multiple Quirks enter the scene and Gigantomachia is one of them.

At some point, it is possible that All For One bestowed these powers to him with his Quirk and made him stronger than he was originally supposed to have been. Interestingly, none of his Quirks have been named in the story so far.

6 He Was Introduced Very Early In The Story

Gigantomachia was not all that relevant to the story until recently. However, the author of My Hero Academia, Kohei Horikoshi, has always had big plans for him, evident from the fact that he was introduced in the story quite early.

In the My Hero Academia manga, Gigantomachia made his debut in Chapter 57 right after the capture of the Hero Killer Stain, while the anime saw him get introduced towards the end of the second season in Episode 31.

5 His Quirks Have Incredible Utility

Gigantomachia Quirks

Gigantomachia has multiple Quirks up his sleeve, as mentioned earlier, which makes him one of the most intriguing characters in the entire story. His Quirks, although unknown at this point, do seem to have great utility.

Everything about his powers, from his monstrous size to his great strength and toughness, and even his resistance to pain is powered by his Quirks, likely given to him by All For One or Garaki at some point in his life.

4 He Is Blazing Fast

Machia's size often leads his enemies to believe that he'll be slow in combat, but that is one of the biggest mistakes anyone fighting him could make. Despite his gigantic size, Gigantomachia is tremendously fast and is known to be able to run up to 100 kilometers (or 62 miles) per hour or more, which just goes to show how difficult he is to take on in battle.

What's more, Machia also has terrific reflexes, as seen recently in the war arc of the series. Undoubtedly, he's a menace to take on in combat for anyone.

3 He Has Great Stamina

Gigantomachia's incredible amounts of strength and speed aren't the only things that scare his opponents. What's even scarier is that he is a monster who barely ever tires in combat. During the Villains arc, it was revealed that he has enough stamina to last days in battle.

Even the entire League of Villains combined couldn't deal any damage to him whatsoever and he could still go on fighting them even after days had passed.

2 His Biggest Weakness Is His Mind

My Hero Academia Shigaraki Tomura

Gigantomachia might be a monstrous fighter, though he doesn't think much before he acts. He certainly has brawn but is lacking in the brains department, which is his only glaring weakness.

However, that is also the reason why Gigantomachia acts on commands. With someone smart above him, such as Shigaraki Tomura himself, he never has to worry about making decisions for himself and can just continue to do what is asked of him.

1 He Is A Model For The Nomu

High-End Nomu

Gigantomachia is known to be a perfect bodyguard and a fighting machine, which is why he was chosen by the likes of All For One in the first place and is also responsible for watching over Shigaraki Tomura.

Dr. Kyudai Garaki, the man responsible for the creation of the Nomu, mentioned that all of them are modeled after Gigantomachia himself. However, it is a known fact that few of them, if any, are close to the level of Gigantomachia.
