The best thing about fan art is that it allows both viewers and artists to explore a different side of established and well-known characters. Today we will be exploring ten truly awesome pieces of genderbend fan art, showing off some of our favorite characters from My Hero Academia.

10 10. Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki As Ladies

Genderbent MHA by PEB99

Oh my goodness! Look at how cute these three look! Everything about this drawing is perfection. Bakugo's feminine design still left plenty of room for aggression and sass (all clear just with that side-eye). Midoriya looks adorable with those long green locks. And Todoroki looks puzzled, which seems oddly appropriate.

This genderbend drawing was created by PEB99, who actually has a ton of genderbend drawings available on their Deviant Art page, especially for MHA, so if you're feeling in the need for more after this, check it out!

9 9. Feisty Red Riot

Kirishima is looking stylish as a female, and we love her. Brought to you by Twitter user @ceciledraws, we're in love with this variation of a beloved MHA character. Honestly, genderbend drawings are so much fun! But it's easy to forget about all of the details, including their hero costumes.

As such, we never would have imagined Kirishima's hero costume, if not for this bit of fan art. Perhaps that is why we love it so much. Okay, that and the fact that Kirishima is clearly as happy and enthusiastic as ever.

8 8. Slinky Bakugo

Genderbent Bakugo by Bakutober6

Wow. This genderbend fan art of Bakugo has a bit of slink to it, right? Or perhaps it's just the highlights making everything look so shiny. Either way, Bakugo is rocking the look, and we like it. Honestly, this drawing took full advantage of minor changes to make Bakugo look more feminine, but it's a perfect balance.

Bakutober6 is the artist behind this genderbend drawing, so give them all the credit for bringing our angry hero to a new light. This is Bakugo like we've never seen before. Can you imagine how hard Midoriya would blush if she were to yell at him now?

7 7. Grinning Nana

It's a genderbend fan art of Nana Shimura! That's so unexpected but so incredibly cute! We love how they've added a cute and silly smile to the mix, making Nana seem like a really fun character to have known.

Twitter user @pulimcartoon is responsible for this drawing, and we love it. The extra pop of color in the background really brings the whole look together, if we may say so. Everything just looks so perfect in this piece, it's almost hard to remember that a major change was made for it.

6 6. Genderbend Selfie

Genderbent MHA Trio by whymeiy

We're not sure if Midoriya would be the type to take selfies...but if she (in this universe) was, we have no doubt that she'd try to include Todoroki and Bakugo in a photo or two. That's why we love this drawing by whymeiy so much because it really does seem like the characters we love so much.

Midoriya's hair is adorably messy and is perfect with that smile. Meanwhile, we can totally picture Todoroki just going with the flow, all while Bakugo stared off into the distance looking angry and intense.

5 5. A Cute Pairing

Fans have been shipping Bakugo and Kirishima for a while now. But what about a genderbend version of the pair? That's still insanely cute, don't you think? The artist behind this piece, Twitter user @eijirobakugou certainly seems to think so.

Frankly, we have to agree. We love the dynamics between these two. Kirishima looks as happy as ever, while Bakugo looks potentially ready to throw a bunch...which sounds about right, all things considered.

4 4. Opposites Attract?

Genderbent Bakugo and Todoroki by ShuujiChan

Bakugo and Todoroki don't have a whole lot in common unless you're willing to take into consideration their talent and power levels. But they say opposites attract, so perhaps that is why these two look so awesome together here?

This feminine version of two fan favorites is brought to you by ShuujiChan, and it looks fantastic. Bakugo looks like they're both perplexed and angry, while Todoroki looks surprisingly cheerful. Perhaps she just said something to create both expressions?

3 3. Icy Todoroki

This genderbend fan art of Todoroki is quite striking, is it not? Twitter user @VirusRcosplay really put a lot of heart into making this a stunning drawing, and they succeeded. Todoroki's design lends well to a more feminine drawing, that much many artists have agreed on.

But this artist went above and beyond, including so many extra little details to sell the look. From the longer hair to the oversized shirt, and even the earrings (which look super cute). It's all perfect.

2 2. Swapping Up The Big 3

Genderbent Big 3 by PEB99

Looks like the Big 3 from U.A. have gotten the genderbend treatment as well! PEB99 is at it again, this time around turning these three into their opposites. Though Suneater is so covered that it's hard to tell, that's okay with us.

Mirio looks fantastic, though we like the choice to put her hair up (does that mean her hair is being held up by an elastic made of her own hair?), and Nejire Hado looks beefy, though the iconic hair has been downsized to balance it all out.

1 1. Class 1-A

Finally, to wrap up this list we're going to include two drawings that show off Class 1-A in all of their genderbend fan art glory! In the first photo, you'll notice that all of the boys in the class have taken on a new look.

Meanwhile, the girls are in the second image. Or rather, the (now) boys are in the second image. We can't imagine how much work went into these pieces, but we really appreciate them. So thank you, Twitter user @btanselanocian.
