In the world of My Hero Academia, superpowers are the norm, and some of these Quirks can lend their users astonishing power. The most talented boys and girls can apply to schools like the elite U.A., and that's where Izuku Midoriya is enrolled, now that he has the power of One For All. One of Izuku's most notable classmates is the raven-headed Fumikage Tokoyami, who wields Dark Shadow.

With his serious attitude, goth undertones, and shadow-based power, Fumikage may look like a villain, but he has the heart of a hero— and his Quirk is devastating both on offense and defense, especially in low lighting levels. With power like this, Fumikage could challenge and defeat many villains in his own universe and beyond.

10 Stain The Hero Killer (My Hero Academia)

Hero Killer Stain MHA

This may seem like a stretch; after all, Stain the hero killer is an elite villain who took down Tensei Iida, Tenya Iida's brother. He also took on Izuku and Shoto Todoroki and almost won. However, it needs to be noted that Stain likes to ambush his targets at night.

This is when Fumikage is strongest, and he could use the enhanced speed, durability and hitting power of Dark Shadow to keep even the likes of Stain at bay, then crush him with the power of darkness. Stain is getting in over his head this time.

9 Gluttony (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)

gluttony red eyes

Gluttony is a homunculus, one of the seven whom Father created as minions (and to purge himself of those sins). Gluttony has a Philosopher's Stone inside him that can rapidly regenerate his flesh even after sustaining mortal injuries, and he has a mouth-portal that can absorb anything.

Fumikage is much too quick for Gluttony, though, who is noted for being powerful but slow and clumsy. Gluttony struggles to fight alone; he'd have Fumikage tear him apart over and over from all angles, until his Stone is finally exhausted.

8 Ty Lee (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Ty Lee Avatar the Last Airbender

After a point, Ty Lee the acrobat became a hero and an ally of Aang's (and Suki's)— but for a time, she was an antagonist, being a loyal part of Azula's team. Ty Lee is not a bender; instead, she uses her advanced agility and acrobatics to evade enemy attacks, then get in close.

Ty Lee can strike her opponent's chi points to block them, rendering bending impossible. Ty Lee could try that on Fumikage, but unless there's a noon sun weakening Dark Shadow, Fumikage would be able to keep Ty Lee at bay, then blast her away. And chi blocking wouldn't work if used directly on Dark Shadow.

7 Floki (Vinland Saga)

Floki in Vinland Saga.

In medieval Europe, Vikings were explorers, ship builders, traders and most notably, savage raiders and pillagers. During the 11th century, the Jomsvikings fought as a small but professional army, and the esteemed Floki was their commander.

Floki is a grizzled veteran of combat, ready to face any warrior on the battlefield and triumph with his swordsmanship and knowledge of medieval battle. However, he is an ordinary, mortal man, and he can't hope to stand up to Dark Shadow. In Floki's time, no one was born with Quirks; such powers were still centuries in the future.

6 Keicho Nijimura (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)

Keicho from JoJo using his stand

Most Stands are a single, solid object, but a few of them appear as many separate bodies acting as one, such as Bad Company and Harvest. Keicho was Okuyasu Nijimura's big brother, and his Stand, Bad Company, was focused entirely on offense.

This Stand was made up of miniature soldiers, tanks, and helicopters for an all-or-nothing assault, but in a fight, Dark Shadow could block all that, then retaliate with a quick counter-attack that would tear Keicho right in half. Keicho has no substantial defenses to call upon.

5 Aaroniero Arurruerie (Bleach)

aaroniero kaien face bleach

One of the ten mighty Espadas is Aaroniero Arurruerie, a Gillian-class Menos who represents the sins of gluttony. He can perform a sonido to move around, and he can wield a sword with impressive skill. But his released form,  Glotoneria, is his true power.

Aaroniero becomes a mammoth pile of flesh and body parts, including many tentacles and mouths, with his humanoid torso perched on top. Fumikage can handle this; Dark Shadow can go right for Aaroniero's exposed head, and swat aside any of Aaroniero's defenses during the approach. As Rukia Kuchiki proved, Aaroniero can't survive a mortal blow to the head.

4 Ivan Dreyar (Fairy Tail)

Ivan Dreyar

Ivan Dreyar is the father of Laxus Dreyar and the son of Makarov Dreyar, but he is not at all affiliated with the Fairy Tail guild. Instead, he cast his lot with the Raven Tail guild, and he can make countless paper dolls and attack his enemies with them, including creating explosions.

Ivan can also create illusions, but even if Fumikage falls for the illusions— Dark Shadow will not, and it can see Ivan and attack him, no matter what Fumikage might be hallucinating. This will take Ivan by surprise and turn the tables on him.

3 Sakon/Ukon (Naruto)

Sakon and Ukon in Naruto.

Sakon and Ukon are two people in one, and this reflects in their unusual fighting style. Sakon is the "main" one, and he can split Ukon off of himself to take enemies by surprise, or he and Ukon can merge their flesh with that of their enemy to control them and sabotage them. And don't forget about their Cursed Seal mode.

These grisly twins will give Fumikage a real challenge, but Fumikage can use Dark Shadow to keep Sakon and Ukon at bay, blocking their "invade the enemy's body" strategy. And if the battlefield is dark enough, Fumikage can crush Sakon and Ukon in a straight-up fight.

2 Charon (Fire Force)

charon cultist fire force

Against the Fire Soldiers and their ignition abilities, Charon is highly potent. He is a second-generation pyrokinetic who can absorb and control his enemy's fire, and this means he's immune to Shinra Kusakasbe's kicks and similar techniques. Hitting him with fire just makes him stronger.

Unfortunately for Charon, Fumikage isn't from Charon's universe, meaning Charon is unprepared for a Quirk that has nothing to do with fire or heat. Fumikage's Quirk could quickly strike Charon and slice him up with its talons, and Charon's own abilities will be totally useless in this fight.

1 Juzo Suzuya (Tokyo Ghoul)

juzo suzuya tokyo ghoul

In the original Tokyo Ghoul, Juzo was a sort of anti-hero from a neutral standpoint, and he was an antagonist to people like Ken Kaneki. Juzo is wild, deranged and holds nothing sacred, except for his mission to torment ghouls and get the best quinque possible.

In a fight, Juzo is highly agile and is a quick thinker, but alas, Dark Shadow is even faster, and Juzo's quinque scythe and knives will be totally impotent against this shadowy Quirk. Fumikage would catch Juzo sooner or later, and pummel him with the might of Dark Shadow.
