In the world of My Hero Academia, superheroes are tasked with keeping the streets safe from crime and villainy, but that is easier said than done. Even now, in the modern era, many supervillains are scheming to dominate the world or commit a century's crime, and the best villains are often the quickest. A slow villain is easy to capture, after all.

Izuku Midoriya, All Might, and other heroes must stay on their toes and be ready to confront these speedy villains when they appear, and some of those villains are so quick, they can elude capture for years on end. Based on their own physical movements (and not their projected Quirks), which villains are the fastest of all?

10 Magne, The Magnetic Villain

Magne conjures electricity in My Hero Academia.

Overall, the villain known as Magne is well-rounded in combat technique, blending physical strength, speed, agility, martial arts, and an attraction-based Quirk into a balanced package. Magne is not especially fast, but this villain was able to keep pace with Tiger in close-quarters combat, which says a lot.

Magne could likely outfight most U.A. students in hand-to-hand combat if even a pro like Tiger could only break even against Magne. However, several other villains are quicker than Magne is, relying more on speed than sheer power.

9 Soramitsu Tabe, The Chomping Villain

The villain known as Soramitsu Tabe is one of the Eight Bullets, and he works best as part of a team. Soramitsu's Quirk, called Food, allows him to bite through absolutely any solid matter and devour it, even stone or metal.

Soramitsu is only effective up close, so he made sure to practice his speed and agility so he can evade enemy attacks while rushing up to his foe. He even gave the student prodigy Tamaki Amajiki a serious challenge.

8 Mr. Compress, The Showman Villain

Compress Using His Quirk On Bakugo

Mr. Compress is a member of the League of Villains, like Magne, and he took part in the forest training camp's raid. Mr. Compress's physical strength is average at best, but he can use his Quirk to compress any person or item into a marble rapidly.

To get a chance to use that Quirk, Mr. Compress uses his agility to avoid enemy attacks and get up close. Once he compresses a target, he will use that same agility and speed to escape before the heroes overwhelm him with their firepower. He's an escape artist of sorts.

7 Overhaul, The Mob Boss

Overhaul from My Hero Academia.

The villain known as Overhaul is one of those characters who rely mainly on their Quirk; in this case, the Overhaul Quirk can reshape matter at a touch. Overhaul can defeat his enemies while simply standing in place, but he can really get moving if need be.

Overhaul is a quick fellow who can take his enemies by surprise and blast them apart with a touch. That's what he did to Magne (to lethal effect) and Mr. Compress, robbing the latter of an arm. Overhaul is not to be taken lightly.

6 Gentle Criminal, The YouTube Villain

Gentle Criminal my hero academia

Only a 21st-century villain would be so heavily invested in something like YouTube and online traffic stats, but that's exactly how Gentle Criminal works. He failed as a student hero, so now he seeks to build a reputation via the Internet. But he's no slouch in combat.

Gentle Criminal can run and dodge with impressive speed during a quest, enough to force Izuku to use Full Cowling and give the battle his full attention. Gentle Criminals can also form air trampolines to bounce around, boosting mobility. Good luck catching him.

5 Himiko Toga, The Blood-Seeking Villain

Himiko Toga From My Hero Academia

Himiko Toga is a villain who seeks enemy blood. Once she ingests a sample of someone's blood, Himiko can morph into that person's likeness, including their voice and clothes. Obtaining that blood sample is the tricky part.

In a fight, Himiko is rather quick on her feet, and she can leap, roll and duck to avoid any enemy attack, then slip into the enemy's blind spots and cut them to get that much-needed blood sample. Himiko can even take Eraser Head by surprise with her incredible agility and quick moves.

4 Muscular, The Brawny Villain

the villain muscular attacking in my hero academia

The villain known as Muscular is, as expected, a fighter who mainly relies on brute strength to win. When his muscle augmentation Quirk comes online, he gains enough power and stamina to stand up to One For All, but he also has the speed to match, making him even more fearsome.

Izuku was shocked when the lumbering Muscular leaped at him with great speed, and Izuku quickly realized that he and Kota couldn't simply outrun Muscular to find reinforcements. Izuku was forced to stay there and fight Muscular head to head.

3 Tomura Shigaraki, The New League Boss

Anime My Hero Academia Tomura Shigaraki Decay

Tomura Shigaraki is another character who relies mainly on Quirks to fight, such as his own ability, Decay. Tomura is one of those characters who need to get up close to defeat his foes, so naturally, speed enters the equation.

More than once, Tomura has taken his enemies (such as Izuku) by total surprise with his rapid movements, and he can get within knife range and lay all five fingers on his opponent before they even realize what's happening. Tomura sure knows how to move.

2 All For One, The Symbol Of Evil

All For One uses his Quirk to control Shigaraki in My Hero Academia

His time's ultimate villain was All For One, the sworn rival of All Might and a symbol of evildoers everywhere. For the most part, All For One relied on his vast inventory of stolen Quirks to fight, but he can move rather quickly, too.

All For One can use his heavily augmented arms to block All Might's punches and match him in melee combat, which is saying a lot, given how fast All Might is. Anyone who can survive All Might's onslaught is not only tough but fast, too.

1 Stain, The Hero Killer

Stain standing on a building

Stain, the hero killer, both looks like and operates as an assassin. He is most effective in urban environments, where he can stalk an unwary hero and ambush them in back alleys or similar locations. If he's seen from a long way off, then he's at a disadvantage.

Stain also relies on his incredible speed to ambush pro heroes and slash them with his swords and knives, all for the sake of getting a blood sample. He is quick enough to handle Shoto Todoroki, Tenya and Tensei Iida, and Izuku Midoriya in combat. He has no problem facing two or three foes at once, either; he'll dodge anything they can throw at him.
