My Hero Academia is a series full to the brim of characters with amazing quirks. That's pretty obvious, right? Well, many of the characters – particularly the students in U.A. - have been working hard towards becoming a hero.

Being a hero means they need to have a variety of ultimate or signature moves. That's something you'll see in many anime, and MHA is no exception. But how do all of the signature moves rank up against one another? We're about to find out!

Just a heads up, but since there are so many characters in MHA, this is not a complete list. Characters that don't have a named move (yet) are not included. Nor did we include any team moves (of which there are a few).

This list contains spoilers from the manga.

23 23. Tsuyu Asui (Froppy) – Camouflage

Froppy Tsuyu Asui

Froppy is a brilliant character that works well with others. That being said, while her camouflage move is incredibly useful, it so far hasn't really shown off her power. That being said, check out her combo moves with other students, that's where she really shines.

22 22. Toru Hagakure (Invisible Girl) – Light Refraction

My Hero Academia Toru Hagakure Gloves

Toru's quirk lets her be unseen, but she can also refract the light, allowing her to blind those around her (let's hope she warns her allies first).

21 21. Mashirao Ojiro (Tailman) – Tornado Tail Dance & Fist of the Tail: Swamp Smack Spin

Ojiro is an intelligent character with a straightforward quirk, yet he's found ways to make it work. He's already come up with both defensive and offensive moves using his powerful tail.

20 20. Kyoka Jiro (Earphone Jack) – Heartbeat Fuzz & Heartbeat Surround

Jiro's quirk may seem like it'd be most useful in gathering intel, but she's found ways to strike with it. Both Heartbeat moves turn the sounds she takes in (specifically her own heartbeat) and turns it on her opponents to a massive scale.

19 19. Minoru Mineta (Grape Juice) – Grape Rush & Grape Buckler

Mineta's character may seem like a perv, but he's got a solid head on his shoulders. He's come up with several ways of making his pop off quirk useful, such as increasing his mobility and locking down enemies.

18 18. Yuga Aoyama (Shining Hero) – Navel Laser Buffet, Navel Saber

Aoyama's quirks are flashy, allowing him to shoot a variety of attacks from his navel, depending on his goal.

17 17. Mina Ashido (Pinky) – Acid Veil, Acid Shot, Acid Layback, Acidman

Acid can and should be terrifying, so it's no surprise that Pinky has found some clever uses for her quirk. Her most defensive is Acidman, and is influenced by Kirishima's quirk and presence.

16 16. Mezo Shoji (Tentacole) – Octoblow

Shoki's quirk can be used both in combat and in information gathering, as we've seen. His most dangerous move is Octoblow, which turns all of his limbs into arms for a whirlwind of attacks.

15 15. Hanta Sero (Cellophane) – Barricade Tape

Sero's tape allows him to move around, bind, and attack. The Barricade Tape move is exactly what it sounds like – he surrounds his area with tape to prevent others from pulling off surprise attacks.

14 14. Ochacho Uraraka (Uravity) – Skill Release, Meteor Shower, Home Run Comet

Uraraka My Hero Academia

Uravity's quirk doesn't seem that powerful until you look at all the super moves she's come up with. Her creative manipulation of gravity allows her to be both a great threat to her enemies and support to her allies.

13 13. Tenya Iida (Ingenium) – Recipro Burst & Recipro Extend

Iida is determined to follow in his brother's footsteps, and as such has several moves already thought up. Most involve pushing his speed boosts to the extreme.

12 12. Denki Kaminari (Chargebolt) – Indiscriminate Discharge 1,300,000 Volts

Kaminari may act like an idiot more often than not, but you've got to admit that his quirk has some power. The biggest problem with this signature move is in the name – it is literally indiscriminate, which is a problem for his allies.

11 11. Momo (Creati) – Yaoyorozu's Lucky Bag

Momo using her Quirk

Momo's quirk allows her to create anything she needs, so long as she understands how it's constructed. Her most dangerous creation is titled Yaoyorozu's Lucky Bag, which is actually a cannon full of useful items.

10 10. Fumikage Tokoyami (Tsukuyomi) – Black Ankh & Black Fallen Angel

Tsukuyomi has two powerful signature moves, Black Fallen Angel and Black Ankh. The latter of which has three variants, allowing for a terrifying level of adaptability. Or perhaps it's just the darkness and control factors that make it terrifying.

9 9. Eijiro Kirishima (Red Riot) – Red Counter, Red Riot Unbreakable, Red Gauntlet

Kirishima has grown leaps and bounds in the series, and as such he's come up with several signature moves along the way. All of them focus on his ability to harden or withstand blows. Red Riot Unbreakable is his most defensive move, while Red Gauntlet is much more offensive.

8 8. Izuku Midoriya (Deku) – Detroit Smash, Delaware Smash, One For All: Full Cowl, And More

Midoriya using One For All in My Hero Academia

Being the main character of the series, it's really no surprise that Deku has a complex list of signature moves. It also suits his way of thinking. Currently, Deku is not the most powerful character of the series, but based on the core plot, we imagine that will change.

7 7. Mirio Togata (Lemillion) – Blinder Touch Eyeball Crush & Phantom Menace

Togata Using Permeation Against Class 1A Students While Training

Mirio may be quirkless at the moment, but we're still considering his signature moves to be powerful ones. One of these moves suits his personality well, since it's a playful feint followed by an attack. The other had its name changed for the anime, but it proves he can use his quirk to get around dangerously fast.

6 6. Katsuki Bakugo – Blast Rush Turbo, Stun Grenade, Howitzer Impact, AP Shot, Explode-A-Pult

Bakugo actually has an alarming number of signature and super moves, most of which we recommend not being on the wrong side of. All of these titles and moves match his explosive personality – and quirk.

5 5. Shoto Todoroki – Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall, Wall of Flames, Flashfreeze Heatwave

Shoto's a tortured soul, yet he's already proving to be one of the most competent heroes in training from his class. Currently, he has three iconic moves, using a mixture of his hot and cold quirks. We also have no doubt that he'll be adding to the list very soon.

4 4. Enji Todoroki (Endeavor) – Flashfire Fist (Jet Burn & Hell Spider), Prominence Burn

Endeavor is the new number one hero, and as such he's got a few tricks up his sleeve. Obviously, most of those involve flames and fire – which isn't great for his enemies. His super moves include a focused blast of fire, thin blasts with cutting precision, and more.
