Detroit Smash is one of the strongest known techniques in My Hero Academia. Performed using the One For All Quirk, Detroit Smash lets the user concentrate all their power into their fist and unleash a powerful blow strong enough to change the weather itself.

This move was once the signature technique of All Might, the strongest of all Heroes. Currently, it is used by Izuku Midoriya, the 9th user of One For All. Although Detroit Smash is quite a powerful move, there are others that surpass its destructive capabilities. Here are 5 techniques stronger than Detroit Smash and 5 that are weaker.

10 Stronger: United States of Smash

United States of Smash is the strongest known technique of All Might, the former Number One Hero in My Hero Academia. This technique allowed him to tap into all the power of his Quirk, store it in his arm and unleash a punch beyond 100% of the One For All Quirk.

It was powerful enough to knock out All For One, the strongest Villain in the history of the series.

9 Weaker: Delaware Smash

Delaware Smash is another technique performed with the One For All Quirk. It is frequently used by Izuku Midoriya. This technique allows him to unleash a powerful air shockwave with a flick of his finger.

At 100%, it can blow away nearly anyone standing in his way. However, this move is certainly weaker than Detroit Smash, which sees to it that all the power of One For All is utilized.

8 Stronger: Double Detroit Smash

Double Detroit Smash is a combination move performed by Izuku Midoriya and All Might. It sees both of them use Detroit Smash at 100%, effectively combining and doubling the strength of the original move.

It was first used in My Hero Academia: Two Heroes against the main villain, Wolfram. Undoubtedly, this technique is one of the strongest ones seen in the series to date.

7 Weaker: Howitzer Impact

Howitzer Impact

Howitzer Impact is one of the signature techniques of Katsuki Bakugo and is used through his Explosion Quirk. To perform this technique, Bakugo propels himself using his Quirk and spins in midair at a extremely high speed.

Upon contact with the target, he releases a massive explosion powerful enough to blast through nearly any form of defense. When used against Shoto Todoroki, this move proved to be strong enough to complete destroy his Heaven-piercing Ice Wall.

6 Stronger: Prominence Burn

plus ultra prominence burn (1)

Prominence Burn is the strongest technique of Endeavor, the current Number One Hero in the series. To perform this move, Endeavor makes use of the Hellflame Quirk and uses the maximum output of his flames to create a blast of fire so tremendous that barely anyone can withstand it.

This technique debuted against Hood, one of the High-End Nomus. Despite Hood having super regeneration, Prominence Burn was able to completely vaporize him.

5 Weaker: Flashfire Fist: Hell Spider

Another move of Endeavor, Hell Spider sees him use concentrated flames of his Hellflame Quirk from his fingertips, leading to the creation of a destructive fire net. This technique did quite a lot of damage when used against Hood and even tore through a building with ease.

Strong as it is, it is not Endeavor' strongest move and doesn't compare to Detroit Smash in terms of damage output.

4 Stronger: Phantom Menace

Phantom Menace appears to be the strongest move of Mirio Togata, also known as Lemillion. To use this move, Mirio makes use of his Permeation Quirk and slips into walls and exits from certain points repeatedly, delivering powerful blows to the enemies during the process.

The blows delivered keep on getting faster and stronger, which is what makes this move a true menace to deal with.

3 Weaker: Flashfreeze Heatwave

Flashfreeze Heatwave is one of the strongest known techniques of Shoto Todoroki, if not the strongest. It sees him use his Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk to the fullest, first unleashing ice to chill the air, which is subsequently followed by a sudden use of fire to expand the air and cause a massive explosion.

This technique was strong enough to defeat Izuku Midoriya during the Sports Festival match. When compared to a 100% Detroit Smash, this move falls short, unfortunately.

2 Stronger: All For One: Ultimate Combination

All for One in My Hero Academia.

All For One used the ultimate combination of several Quirks to put up a fight against All Might during the Kamino Incident and even overpower him for the majority of the fight.

This combination lets him generate power which he considers to be great enough to kill All Might, the strongest Hero.

1 Weaker: Red Riot Unbreakable

Eijiro Kirishima's strongest move, Red Riot Unbreakable sees him use the Hardening power of his Quirk to the absolute pinnacle. His strength and toughness are heightened to a great extent upon being used.

While this technique is quite powerful, it has a time limit and can thus be maintained for an extremely short period of time. Furthermore, the heightened defense can still be overcome with a greater force, and Detroit Smash at 100% is certainly capable of breaking through it.
