Before the League merged with the Paranormal Liberation Front, Dabi was responsible for leading the Vanguard Action Squad. It consisted of Dabi, Toga, Twice, Mr. Compress, and Moonfish. Out of all of them, Dabi was the only levelheaded one, so he became the de-facto leader.

The Vanguard Action Squad caused the most chaos during the Forest Training Camp arc. This was when Dabi proved his wits as a leader and a villain by devising a plan to wreak as much havoc as possible while kidnapping Bakugo.

11 One Of Dabi's Aliases Is Blueflame

Dabi is quite infamous in the world of My Hero Academia. Heroes often refer to Dabi by his alias, "Blueflame," named after his Quirk. After all, the heroes had no real lead on his true identity for most of the series and didn't even know the fake name he was going by.

Dabi's powers have made him one of the strongest people under Shigaraki Tomura, earning him a notorious reputation. Interestingly, "Dabi" is yet another one of his aliases, as confirmed in the recent chapters of My Hero Academia.

10 Dabi Is Actually Touya Todoroki

Toya Todoroki (My Hero Academia).

Dabi's identity has always been a major topic of discussion in the My Hero Academia fandom. Fans had always theorized that Dabi was the long-lost Todoroki sibling, Touya. After all, he has a powerful fire Quirk and the same eye color as Enji. Hawks and the other pro-heroes couldn't gather any more information about Dabi.

However, during the Paranormal Liberation War, Dabi caused chaos in hero society when he revealed that Enji was his father. He put the abuse he endured out into the public consciousness and condemned hero society for letting his abuser become the number one pro-hero. Dabi hid his identity for years and played dead, lurking in the shadows while plotting his retribution against heroes.

9 Dabi Gets Carsick

It's not often that fans see their favorite anime villains having normal issues like them. Dabi, for example, gets carsick easily. The League tried to hijack the vehicle that was taking Overhaul to the hospital so they could get the Quirk stealing drugs off of him and seek retribution for what he did to two of their members.

Spinner was in the driver's seat, but his only driving lessons came from video games. Needless to say, his driving skills aren't anything to write home about. Dabi got nauseous, and he scolded Spinner for swerving around the road so often.

8 Dabi's Hair Color Changed From Crimson To White To Black

Dabi's hair color has changed quite a few times in the series, especially when taking his past into account. As Toya Todoroki, he is known to have had crimson-colored hair long ago. Later on, his hair turned completely white at some point during his life.

This was likely due to Marie Antoinette syndrome because of the stress he faced while living in the Todoroki household and enduring Enji's neglectful behavior. To hide his identity for as long as he wanted to, Dabi used to dye his hair black. All things considered, his plan to hide his real identity worked pretty well.

7 Dabi's Cremation Quirk Can Burn Through Nearly Anything

Dabi, like most people in My Hero Academia, was born with a Quirk, which awakened at a young age. Interestingly, the name of his Quirk has still not been confirmed. However, it is unofficially known as Cremation.

This Quirk allows him to produce blue flames from his body that are strong enough to burn through nearly anything within a matter of a few seconds. With this power, he's easily among the strongest characters in the League of Villains.

6 Dabi's Flames Can Reach Up To 3000 Degrees Fahrenheit

Dabi's flames are unlike the ones that Enji Todoroki or Shoto Todoroki can produce using their Quirks. Whereas Endeavor's flames are orange in color, the ones that Dabi produces are blue. Dabi's flames burn much hotter than the normal ones, as is indicated by its color. They can reach temperatures up to 3000 degrees Fahrenheit, making Dabi scarier than most villains in the series.

Unfortunately for Dabi, his Quirk harms him each time he uses it, resulting in his scarred appearance. After Twice died, Dabi admitted he can't cry because his tear ducts are burnt. In recent manga chapters, Dabi's entire cheek is burnt off, leaving his jaw and teeth exposed.

5 Dabi's New Role In The League Is Lieutenant Of The Liberation Front

Dabi is, without a doubt, an incredibly useful member of the League of Villains, now known as the Paranormal Liberation Front after having joined forces with Re-Destro.

As one of the strongest Villains, Dabi was assigned the role of a Lieutenant of the Liberation Front. He was partnered with Geten, a member of the Meta Liberation Army, as the co-commander of the Violet Regiment. Manipulative, crafty, and entirely motivated by revenge, Dabi is the best person the villains could have on their side and never makes a fool out of himself.

4 Dabi Is Weak In Close Combat & Prefers To Fight From A Distance

Despite being an extremely powerful villain, Dabi has his weakness, and it is close-quarters combat. Dabi isn't all that experienced in fighting his opponents up close, which is why he specializes in long-ranged combat.

This allows him to use the power of his Cremation Quirk to the fullest and even use the surroundings as a weapon itself. His skills in long-ranged combat are incredibly high, and he can even take on the strongest of Pro-Heroes using them.

3 Dabi Had Potential But Was Deemed A Failure By Endeavor

Born as Toya Todoroki, Dabi was the eldest child of Endeavor and, thus, was made into someone whose only goal was to surpass All Might. Toya's own Quirk was known to be stronger than Hellflame.

Being capable of producing flames that burn hotter than Enji's own, his father drilled all that he knew into him, knowing that Toya had the potential to surpass him one day. However, due to inheriting Rei's weak constitution, he was eventually deemed a failure.

2 Dabi "Died" In The Past After Being Completely Incinerated By Flames

Toya Todoroki and Dabi, My Hero Academia

Dabi is a victim of abuse from his father, Enji Todoroki, who only saw him as a tool to accomplish his goal, which was to surpass All Might one day. After being constantly abused by his father, Dabi, then Toya Todoroki, would often break down and question his existence.

On a certain day, he went to Sekoto Peak, where his father used to train, and got completely incinerated by flames, or that is what most people were led to believe. The only part of his body that was found was his jawbone.

Bakugo Gets Kidnapped By Dabi (My Hero Academia).

Although everyone believed Toya to have died, he survived and lived with only one goal in his mind at the time, to destroy his father, Endeavor. Toya's tragic abuse scarred him mentally and forced him to become a Villain and take the identity of Dabi until the day to eliminate his father came.

This accident also left him physically scarred. He carries several patches of gnarled, purple skin on his body. Instead of properly training him on how to handle his Quirk's flames, Endeavor neglected his son, leaving him to stew in his own helplessness.
