Anime villains can be a mixed bag, but My Hero Academia's Dabi is one of the best that the medium has to offer, and is probably one of the coolest villains in all of anime. he is definitely the most interesting of the series.

What makes Dabi so intriguing to the massive MHA audience? It's easy to say something like "pretty much everything about him," so let's take a look at his powers, personality, role in the story to figure out what makes someone so bad so likeable. At the same time, we'll explore avery particular (and dark) fan theory about his origins, which of course makes him even more intriguing.

The Quirks of My Hero Academia's Dabi Bnha

Dabi's Quirk is known as Cremation, a fire power that is far more intense than the likes of Endeavor or Shoto Todoroki's hot half. How do we know this? Well, on top of his ability to produce flames on a much larger scale than any other character, the color of his flames imply that they burn hotter than the red flames of Todoroki and Endeavor.

With Cremation, Dabit can shoot blasts of fire as attacks, put up walls of flames for defense and even melt or burn hard substances like rock with little to no effort. Suffice it to say, Dabi's Quirk is one of the most powerful in all of My Hero Academia, and this is part of what makes him so cool... or hot, as the case may be.

The Personality of My Hero Academia's Dabi Bnha

As one might expect from someone who named their Quirk, and whose villain name translates to "Cremation," Dabi is a pretty dark and sadistic individual. However, he's not just out to hurt people for pleasure; his mission is to destroy false heroes and expose them for who they truly are. This goal fuels his personality, as he hates and often taunts heroes and those training to be heroes.

Additionally, Dabi's rude, crass and overall disrespectful behavior and attitude also extends to anyone he deems unpleasant or that he can't stand, not just false heroes, as seen when he showed little-to-no respect towards Tomura. However, a lot of these personality traits are usually buried under his stoic and intelligent demeanor, as he rarely expresses his emotions, giving him a mysterious and aloof aura.

The Role of Dabi Bnha in My Hero Academia

Dabi plays the role of a villain in My Hero Academia, and though he's yet to be a major bad guy in the series, it appears that he will be the focus of some upcoming storylines. As for what he has contributed to the story thus far, he was the leader of the Vanguard Action Squad, the group of Villains that attacked UA's training camp.

This was Dabi's only major role in the anime thus far, but the manga has given him a significant story moment in the form of a battle with Endeavor, a fight that may hold a lot of importance, given the popular fan theory surrounding the character.

Dabi Bnha's Biggest (and Weirdest) FAN THEORY

Endeavor and Dabi using their quirks side by side

There is a wide variety of Quirks in the world of My Hero Academia, which is why it's worth pointing out whenever multiple characters have the same or a similar Quirk, Dabi being one of those characters. Though his Quirk goes by a different name and though it is much hotter, there is no denying the fact that he and Endeavor have practically the same power. This might not be a coincidence either, since one of the biggest fan theories surrounding the hit anime and manga series is that Dabi is actually one of Endeavor's children, a member of the Todoroki family.

The proof is definitely there, since, not only do they have similar powers, they also have similar eye colors -- the same colors as Shoto Todoroki's. There are also many possible connections in their pasts, since Endeavor had so many kids in order to produce children with powerful Quirks, and those deemed as failures were treated poorly. If this theory is true, it would give Dabi a very good reason for hating false heroes and being sympathetic to families of heroes that have experienced hardship.

This theory only further contributes to how cool and well-written Dabi's character is, and we can't wait to see how things unfold in the manga and, eventually, the anime.
