The Serpenters certainly proved they are a force to be reckoned with when they faced off with one of the UA's top students, Bakugo, in My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission. The duo took Bakugo to his absolute limit in a battle that forced the aspiring hero to dig deeper than he ever has before to claim victory.

With an incredible Quirk that allows them to attack their opponents with tremendous speed and intensity, the Serpenters are an extremely dangerous foe. However, as proven by Bakugo, they are far from invincible. While there are several heroes the duo could defeat in battle, there are others the pair would struggle to overcome.

10 Could: The Blistering Speed Of The Serpenters' Attacks Would Result In Defeat For Mezo Shoji

Mezo Shoji with mouth tentacles from My Hero Academia.

Mezo Shoji is not one to be trifled with. The UA student is incredibly strong and possesses great determination. His Quirk allows him to manifest multiple arms and extend them to deliver powerful attacks. The problem for Shoji, however, is that he isn't particularly quick on his feet. The Serpenters were expeditious in their attack on Bakugo, whom they very nearly bested in battle. It took a phenomenal final attack for Bakugo to eventually claim victory. In a battle between Shoji and the Serpenters, Shoji would find the task too daunting. In the end, the Serpenters would use a barrage of rapid-fire attacks to send Shoji to dreamland.

9 Couldn't: Ryukyu's Dragon Transformation Would Overwhelm The Serpenters

Ryukyu being interviewed

Ryukyu's Quirk allows her to transform into a menacing dragon with great strength and durability. In her dragon form, she is also very resistant to blunt force attacks and has proven her mettle in past battles.

The Serpenters would certainly attack Ryukyu with tremendous speed and intensity. But using her dragon Quirk to fly, Ryukyu would find an opening, and ultimately overwhelm the Serpenters with her superhuman strength and massive frame. At the end of the battle, the Serpenters would find themselves beaten and unconscious beneath Ryukyu's giant claws.

8 Could: Nejire Hado Would Be A Worthy Adversary For The Serpenters, But In The End She Would Fall Victim To An Intense Barrage Of Attacks

Nejire uses her Quirk in My Hero Academia.

Nejire Hado is immensely gifted with a tremendous Quirk and a fantastic range of attacks. Her "Nejire Wave" attack would be extremely difficult for the Serpenters to deal with. Nejire would attack with great intensity and will, but eventually, she would be forced to go beyond her limits. Consequently, Nejire's sheer exhaustion would give the Serpenters the perfect opportunity to defeat her. Capitalising on Nejire's loss of stamina, the Serpenters would unleash their wrath upon the UA student and bombard her with an onslaught of brutal attacks.

7 Couldn't: The Incredible Command Mirio Togata Has Over His Quirk And His Indefatigable Will Are A Combination Far Too Great For The Serpenters To Repress

Mirio saving Eri

Mirio dominated Overhaul in their battle, and had the villain on the ropes until Overhaul, realizing he was outmatched, used a Quirk-destroying bullet to eventually overcome the incredible strength and will of Mirio. It is this same will, combined with an immensely potent Quirk, that would result in Mirio gaining the advantage against the Serpenter twins. The Serpenters would battle determinedly, but Mirio's impressive intellect, spectacular strength, and abilities afforded him by his Permeation Quirk would make him an insurmountable obstacle. In the end, Mirio uses Phantom Menace and finds a way to defeat the duo.

6 Could: The Serpenters Would Quell Neito Before He Even Had The Chance To Copy Their Quirk

Neito at school festival

Neito's Quirk is impressive, to say the least. He can copy the Quirks of his opponents and use them to his advantage in battle. The problem is, Neito needs to get within close enough range of his opponent to do this. The Serpenters would use the great reach of their bellow swords to keep Neito at bay.

Without being able to find an opening to copy the Serpenters' Quirk, Neito would stand no chance. The Serpenters need only create a good distance between themselves and their opponent to gain the advantage and subsequent victory.

5 Couldn't: In A Battle Of A Manipulated Material, The Serpenters Would Be Undone By Hawks' Experience And Overwhelming Prowess

Hawks thinking

The Serpenters can alter the reach of their incredible bellow swords, which gives them a great advantage against fighters that prefer the fight to take place at close range. Hence, in a fight with the No.2 hero, The Serpenters would struggle to take the upper hand. Not only is Hawks incredibly smart, but his Quirk is also brilliantly devastating. Using his enhanced sight, ability to take to the skies, and a profusion of manipulated feathers as the result of his Fierce Wings Quirk, Hawks would lay waste to the Humarise twins.

4 Could: Kirishima Would Find It Extremely Difficult To Maintain Hardening Long Enough To Overcome The Ruthlessness Of The Serpenters

Kirishima hardening Quirk

Eijiro Kirishima is strong and iron-willed, and his Quirk is formidable, but in a battle with the merciless Serpenters, Kirishima would find it terribly difficult to maintain Hardening long enough to shut out the attacks of his devastatingly aggressive opponents. While he has proven able to refortify his Quirk in times of peril, the Serpenters are relentless. The duo would rain down on Kirishima with an incessant flurry of attacks that would eventually force his Hardening to dissipate and leave him open to a decisive final blow.

3 Couldn't: The Bellow Swords Would Not Be Enough To Overcome The Intellect And Impeccable Skills Of Shoto Todoroki

Todoroki at sports festival

Shoto Todoroki is one of the most adept and skilled heroes in all of the UA. Todoroki's intellectual acuity, combined with his devastating Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk, makes him one of the most dangerous and capable individuals in the entire hero landscape. The Serpenters would find it very difficult to compete with a focused Todoroki. Whether he chooses to utilise the abilities afforded him from the right side of his body and attack the Serpenters with techniques like the Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall, or alternatively choose to blitz his opponents with attacks from the left side such as Jet Kindling, by the battle's end, Todoroki would have the Serpenters downed and out.

2 Could: The Serpenters Would Take Advantage Of Ida's Lack Of Variation To Subdue The Hero's Engine

Tenya Ida is proud to be the class rep

Tenya Ida is certainly no pushover. After all, he did take Shoto Todoroki to the limit at the UA Sports Festival. Unfortunately, his unconquerable determination and Engine Quirk notwithstanding, Tenya would find little success against The Serpenters and their Sword Kill Quirk. Even with his immense speed, Tenya's abilities are limited.

The Serpenters would initially have a hard time dealing with Tenya's phenomenal pace, but due to the hero's lack of varied attacks, coupled with the adverse effect an attack like Recipro Burst has on his body, Tenya would eventually fall to the Serpenters and their bellow swords.

1 Couldn't: Endeavour's Enhanced Strength And Range Of Hellflame Attacks Would Be Near Impossible For The Serpenters To Overcome

Endeavour using his Hellflame Quirk in My Hero Academia.

There is a reason Endeavour became the No.1 hero following All Might's forced retirement. While the Serpenters were a formidable foe for Bakugo, it was largely due to their consumption of the Trigger drug, which significantly heightened the efficacy of their Quirk and subsequent attacks. Up against an opponent as powerful and resourceful as Endeavour, the twins would struggle to find an advantage in battle. The Serpenters' extendable bellow swords, despite their reach, simply would not be enough to overcome Endeavour's experience and incredibly protean Quirk. As a result, the Serpenters would fall victim to Endeavour's impressive catalogue of Hellflame attacks.
