All Might is the strongest known character in the world of My Hero Academia and he was Japan's Number One Hero for quite a long time. As the strongest Hero ever, All Might was known as the Symbol of Peace and was someone who millions of people looked up to.
With his retirement after the fight against All For One, the Heroes have taken quite a blow, however, there are many who have taken it upon themselves to protect others and fill All Might's boots, and some, including the Villains, are even looking to surpass him.
10 Dabi Is One Of The Most Powerful Members In The League Of Villains
Dabi is one of the most powerful known characters in the League of Villains. Although he kept most of his strength hidden until recently, it was only after the revelation of his identity as Toya that his true strength was revealed.
Dabi's Quirk is stronger than Endeavor's Hellflame and he's able to use the Prominence Burn techniques as well. In the future, he's only going to get stronger and one day, get close to the level of Endeavor.
9 Near High-End Nomu Are Difficult For Pro Heroes To Deal With
The Near High-End Nomu were created by Dr. Garaki and as the name suggests, they were supposed to be High-Ends, however, didn't successfully get to complete the process. Their strength, durability, and even regeneration is far lower than the High-Ends.
However, they're still a force to be reckoned with, and defeating them is a difficult task indeed. The power of these Nomu is still quite difficult to deal with even for the Pro Heroes.
8 Re-Destro Is One Of The Strongest In The Paranormal Liberation Front
Re-Destro is the former leader of the Meta Liberation Army and is currently serving under Shigaraki Tomura. He is one of the strongest people in the Paranormal Liberation Front and his Stress Quirk sees to it that he can destroy nearly anyone standing in his path.
Re-Destro fought against Shigaraki Tomura and pushed him to reawaken his Quirk earlier in the Meta Liberation Army arc. Currently, he's weakened due to losing his legs.
7 Hawks Is The Current Number Two Hero
Hawks is the current Number Two Hero in Japan, meaning he's one of the strongest characters in My Hero Academia right now. His skills are on an incredibly high level and he is extremely efficient with his movements.
Hawks' biggest asset is his speed and his ability to multitask. His Fierce Wings Quirk makes him a force to be reckoned with, however, he still needs to improve to get closer to All Might.
6 Mirio Togata Is Still A Student With Incredible Potential
Known as the man closest to All Might, Mirio is one of the many students of Sir Nighteye, and he has the potential to become an incredible Hero in the future. He has the power of the Permeation Quirk which although difficult to control, has been completely mastered by him, making him unstoppable.
Mirio might be one of the strongest characters in the series easily. However, he still has quite a lot of room to grow as a student.
5 High-End Nomu Were Able To Fight All Might & Endeavor
The High-End Nomu were made by Dr. Garaki and are extremely powerful. They're known to be stronger than the U.S.J Nomu that All Might fought and one of them, named Hood, pushed even Endeavor to his limits.
The High-End Nomu are in a league of their own and with their level of strength, only a handful of characters in the series can take them out.
4 Gigantomachia Can Destroy Entire Cities On His Own
The former bodyguard of All For One, Gigantomachia is one of the strongest characters in the series and he's currently a servant of Shigaraki Tomura. Machia was given the power of multiple Quirks at some point which has turned him into a monster.
Hardly anyone can take him on in a one-on-one battle as he is powerful enough to destroy entire cities on his own without any trouble whatsoever.
3 Endeavor Is The Current Number One Hero
Endeavor is the current Number One Hero in My Hero Academia and among the strongest known characters. Although the gap between him and All Might was massive once, he has come far and improved a lot since becoming the Number One.
Endeavor might not be as strong as All Might, but he is still growing with each passing arc. In the Paranormal Liberation War arc, he was able to somewhat put up a fight against Shigaraki.
2 Izuku Midoriya With 100% One For All
Izuku displayed the pinnacle of his powers during the Paranormal Liberation War arc where he was able to take on Shigaraki Tomura with all his power-ups and overwhelm him.
Doing so rendered him in a paralyzed state afterward, but once he masters this power, Izuku will undoubtedly be on All Might's level and maybe even surpass him.
1 Shigaraki Tomura Possesses The All For One & Decay Quirks
Currently, Shigaraki Tomura is the strongest character in My Hero Academia. With the power of All For One and his awakened Decay Quirk, he is unstoppable in battle and can take on an army of Heroes all alone.
What's more, after Dr. Garaki's surgery, Shigaraki has gained enough power to be compared to All Might, as seen during the Paranormal Liberation War arc. Currently, he's the closest anyone's been to All Might after All For One.
