My Hero Academia is a popular superhero shonen anime with an impressive cast of unforgettable characters. What makes these characters so wonderful, in addition to their cool Quirks and their well-designed hero costumes, is the background information that makes them feel like real people. That includes details like hobbies, birthdays, and even favorite foods.

Each month of the year is home to a handful of My Hero Academia birthdays, and while January has Shoto's birthday and February has Tsuyu Asui's, the month of March also has plenty of birthdays for some of My Hero Academia's finest and most popular characters of all, including some overlooked characters who need more love.

8 The Fast-Moving Mirko Was Born On March 1st

Mirko in My Hero Academia.

The rabbit-themed melee hero Mirko moves like a bunny in a hurry, and among the March birthdays of My Hero Academia, it's like she was in a hurry to be born first. Mirko is best known for being an independent hero who rejects the concept of sidekicks, though she can be a team player in dire emergencies.

Not much has been seen of Mirko so far in the My Hero Academia anime, but recent trailers suggest that she will play a much more active role in the upcoming war against the Paranormal Liberation Front. An adolescent Mirko can also be seen in the Vigilantes spinoff manga.

7 The Meek Tamaki Amajiki Was Born On March 4th

Tamaki / suneater In My Hero Academia

The third-year UA student Tamaki Amajiki ranks among that school's "big three" students alongside his friends Mirio Togata and Nejire Hado, though he would never boast about it. In fact, Tamaki is shy and unassertive despite his formidable Quirk-based firepower. He's the polar opposite of Bakugo.

Tamaki genuinely values his friendship with Mirio and finds the latter inspiring, which is how he made it this far in UA. His big moment of glory finally came when he faced off against a trio of Overhaul's insidious thugs, winning despite being outnumbered.

6 Backdraft The Firefighter Hero Was Born On March 7th

Backdraft In My Hero Academia

Even less has been seen of the hero Backdraft in the My Hero Academia anime than Mirko, but that might change in the upcoming war against Tomura Shigaraki's army, when any and all available heroes must answer the call of duty and defend society from evil. Backdraft is ready for the signal anytime.

Backdraft rarely appears, but he did appear early on. He was one of several pro heroes who tried to hold the sludge villain at bay, though as every My Hero Academia fan knows, it was the Quirkless Izuku and his idol, All Might, who ultimately saved the day in that urban battle.

5 Midnight's Glamorous Birthday Is On March 9th

The R-rated pro hero Midnight is a playful lady with a cool sleep-inducing Quirk and a serious love of youthful passion. She is also a sociable and extroverted person who enjoys narrating events, such as serving as an announcer during the UA sports festival. She also took part in a jewelry store robbery simulation.

Midnight has known Present Mic and Eraserhead for years. As the Vigilantes manga showed, she was already fighting crime as a third-year UA student, and she, Present Mic, and Eraserhead all looked after a lost kitten together. That's something Izuku and Ochaco would do, too.

4 Masaru Bakugo's Explosive Birthday Is On March 15th

After the hotheaded Katsuki Bakugo got himself captured and then rescued, the teachers of UA ramped up security and personally met the parents of their students. This included All Might and Eraserhead visiting the Bakugo household, where they met the polite but loud Mitsuki and her meek husband Masaru.

It became clear that Katsuki inherited a part of his Quirk from his father and little else. Masaru can sweat some nitroglycerin and make small explosions by rubbing his hand together, but otherwise, he's an ordinary middle-aged family man who never raises his voice. "Like father, like son" doesn't apply here.

3 Cementoss Celebrates His Birthday On March 22nd

The blocky UA teacher Cementoss can generate vast quantities of concrete from his hands to form barriers, making him effective at trapping villains or blocking their ranged attacks. Cementoss was the one who helped break up the dangerously violent Shoto-Izuku fight, and he also fought Eijiro and Rikido later on.

Not much else is known of Cementoss, though he certainly has a cautious and wise personality. He calmly lectured Rikido and Eijiro after they lost to him, and he was dismayed at how reckless Shoto and Izuku were during their match. Cementoss clearly isn't fond of reckless antics.

2 The Spooky Ectoplasm Was Born On March 23rd

Ectoplasm gives an eerie grin in My Hero Academia

Ectoplasm is yet another UA hero teacher who has mainly been seen fighting his students in mock battles rather than fighting actual villains, though that may change in the upcoming war against the Paranormal Liberation Front. Every hero must be there, and that includes Ectoplasm.

Even if he looks terrifying, Ectoplasm is ready to save the day and fight for justice. He can use his Quirk to split into many clones of himself, though it doesn't quite work the same way as the villain Twice's own Quirk. If desired, Ectoplasm can even make a single, gigantic clone of his body.

1 Jurota Shishida Was Born To Fight On March 26th

Jurota Shishida grinning and ready to fight in My Hero Academia.

Class 1-B is home to many fearsome student heroes class 1-A's own members underestimated until they finally fought one another in the Joint Training story arc. An example is the beastly student Jurota Shishida who clearly pays tribute to the X-Men hero Hank McCoy/Beast.

Jurota is always brawny and furry, but he gets even bigger and scarier when he activates his Quirk. He goes wild and becomes totally ferocious in battle, able to overpower any class 1-A student in melee combat. He's still vulnerable to psychological attacks like Hitoshi Shinso's Quirk, though.
