12 Aquarius: Tsuyu Asui (Froppy)

My Hero Academia Aquarius

Kicking off the list at the beginning of the year is Tsuyu Asui, an Aquarius. Known by the hero name Froppy, she is a class 1-A student at U.A. High School with a quirk that gives her frog-like properties. Despite being an air sign, Aquarius is represented by the water bearer, perfect for a frog.

Aquarius tend to keep to themselves, which Froppy often does in the series. While she is friendly towards Izuku Midoriya, she hasn’t revealed if her feelings exceed friendship.

11 Pisces: Nemuri Kayama (Midnight)

Nemuri Kayama isn’t a character seen on screen often but makes her presence known when she is. Known as Midnight, she teaches Modern Hero Art History at U.A. High School. Midnight’s quirk is Somnambulist, which allows her to put enemies to sleep when she releases a scent from her body.

Pisces tend to be good at reading situations and coming up with the best possible course of action. Midnight fits this trait as she is often a mediator for competitions at U.A. High School. With her quirk, she can neutralize threats if things get dangerous.

10 Aries: Mei Hatsume

Mei Hatsume is a class 1-H student at U.A. High School enrolled in the support program. In the support class, she makes weapons and costume adjustments for heroes. While not all her contraptions are useful, she has come up with some creative tools to help class 1-A.

As an Aries, Mei matches the typical aggressive nature Aries are known to have. She faces everything head on, showing no fear. Mei is also direct with her feelings towards Deku and oblivious of the reactions he has towards her.

9 Taurus: Katsuki Bakugo

Katsuki Bakugo shares the aggression of an Aries, probably because he is born on April 20th, the border of Aries and Taurus. Bakugo is a class 1-A student at U.A. High School with a quirk called Explosion, allowing him to create explosions from his sweat.

This means that Bakugo’s explosions get stronger the longer a fight goes on. Because of this, Bakugo always wants to get a fight started and is impatient, not waiting for the right moments. Like a Taurus, Bakugo is also stubborn and wants to execute plans in the best way he thinks is best.

8 Gemini: Toshinori Yagi (All Might)

Toshinori Yagi, known by his hero name, All Might, was the previous number one hero. After overworking himself being the symbol of peace for so long, All Might is now quirkless and focuses on teaching Foundational Hero Studies at U.A. High School.

Gemini are symbolized by the celestial twins, which appropriately fits the relationship All Might has had with his apprentices. Deku and previously Mirio Togata, are making strides into becoming the number one hero, looking up to what All Might once was. All Might also transitions between two forms throughout the beginning of the series. His weaker injured self and his One For All self.

7 Cancer: Izuku Midoriya (Deku)

The main protagonist of the series, Izuku Midoriya is a class 1-A student with a dream of becoming the number one hero. Known as Deku, he is the ninth holder of One For All. Cancer is the symbol of the crab and like crabs, Cancers rely on their intuitive prowess.

Deku relies on his emotions during fights willing himself to go forward in the toughest scenarios. Cancers are also typically loyal. Deku tries to save every person he can, including the villains he is fighting if he feels they have a chance of becoming good.

6 Leo: Himiko Toga

One of the more seen villains of the series, Himiko Toga is a member of the League of Villains. Her quirk Transform allows her to copy the physical appearance of anyone she consumes the blood of. Symbolized by the lion, Leos love the spotlight, and as such, Himiko commands the screen of the scenes she is in.

Prideful on her skill with knives, Himiko also shares the cheerful demeanor Leos typically have, despite being a villain. Even when she is attempting to kill someone, she is smiling in a sadistic manner.

5 Virgo: Danjuro Tobita (Gentle Criminal)

Gentle Criminal is one of the more recent villain arcs seen in the My Hero Academia anime. As season four just ended, Danjuro Tobita, known as Gentle Criminal, left his mark on the series when he took the fall for his sidekick La Brava. Virgo’s are known for being hardworking and loyal and that is exactly the traits Gentle Criminal had shown.

Wanting to originally become a hero, Gentle Criminal worked hard despite facing tragic moments in his life. Even when becoming a villain, Gentle Criminal spent long hours grinding his social media for views.

4 Libra: Eijiro Kirishima (Red Riot)

Eijiro Kirishima is a class 1-A student at U.A. Academy by the hero name Red Riot. Ejiro’s quirk is Hardening, which allows him to harden his entire body. Libra’s are known to be team players but can be indecisive at times.

During the Overhaul arc of season four, Eijiro used his ultimate move, Red Riot Unbreakable, an extra hardening form, to protect Fat Gum, a pro hero known for his protection. Despite being weaker, Eijiro gave it everything he had absorbing punches from Kendo Rappa.

3 Scorpio: Shota Aizawa (Eraser Head)

Shota Aizawa is the homeroom teacher for class 1-A at U.A. High School and goes by the name Eraser Head. His quirk Erasure allows him to cancel out other people’s quirk, just by seeing a part of their body.

Aizawa is reserved and keeps to himself, matching the secretive demeanor of a Scorpio. He is also analytical, paying attention to what his class is doing at all times, which is another quality of a Scorpio.

2 Sagittarius: Eri

Eri is a newly introduced character to the My Hero Academia anime series. After being held captive by Overhaul, she has been rescued and spends her time with Mirio Togata. Eri’s quirk is Rewind, which lets her reverse a person’s body to a previous state.

Sagittarius hate being constrained and look forward to freedom. This can be said about Eri as she spent her past being gaslighted by Overhaul or abused by her mother. Now free from her dark pasts, Eri is enjoying her new life.

1 Capricorn: Shoto Todoroki

Rounding out the list is Shoto Todoroki, a student in class 1-A at U.A. High School. Son of the current number one hero Endeavor, Todoroki’s quirk is Half-Cold Half-Hot, a quirk that lets him manipulate ice and fire. Capricorns are known for their self-control and discipline, which Todoroki displays in the early seasons of My Hero Academia. Disgusted by his father, Todoroki refused to use his fireside out of spite. It wasn’t until Deku convinced him to make it his own where we started to see it.
