My Hero Academia has taken the anime and manga world by storm. Riding on the cusps of the superhero boom, the anime's own take on and celebration of the time-honored Western genre has produced a compelling story and lovable cast. Standing tall and proud as the mascot of the series is All Might, the ex-#1 hero of MHA's world and the most direct spirit of the series' Western influence.

Though a big deal in his world, the question remains of how All Might might fare against the villains of Western comics. This list will be looking at a few villains from the DC universe that All Might could defeat, as well as a few that he doesn't stand a chance against.

10 Defeat: Clayface

Clayface in action

Clayface practically had a cameo in the introductory parts of the MHA story. When All Might first comes across Deku, he's called to action when one of the boy's classmates, Bakugo, becomes trapped by a nameless sludge villain.

Using his iconic "Smash," All Might was not only able to harmlessly save Bakugou from the villain's clutches, but he outright dissipated the criminal's entire body with just the air pressure of his punch. With a similar aesthetic to this villain and not much of a way of withstanding such powerful blows, Clayface wouldn't stand a chance against the smiling hero.

9 Lose Against: General Zod

General Zod in Action Comics #981

As outrageously strong as All Might is, he is no match for some of the cosmic strengths of DC's universe. While he does have certain thematic and aesthetic parallels with DC's Superman, All Might does not have the character's strength, meaning that he's also no match for Clark Kent's corrupted parallel, General Zod.

With incredible power to rival Superman's and an experienced tactical mind, Zod would easily do away with any of All Might's attacks.

8 Defeat: Deathstroke

Deathstroke is one of the most revered villains in DC's rogues gallery. As a sly, supersoldier, Deathstroke has developed a reputation as an incredibly cerebral villain who uses his own battle experience and intelligence to take down even some of the superpowered beasts of the Justice League.

Though Slade Wilson is a man of incredible talent and experience, that may not be enough against the incredible might and training of All Might. While the heroes that Deathstroke has fought were experienced in one way or another, All Might's tactical hero training should prepare him for even the direst situations. With a professional background backing up his fists, All Might should be able to take care of the infamous assassin.

7 Lose Against: Black Adam

Black Adam has All Might's number in more ways than one. Not only is the Mighty Human a physical match to some of DC's strongest, but he is also a prominent magic-user who threatens even Superman.

Up against Black Adam's long repertoire of combat experience and overpowering magic, All Might and his familiarity with the more restricted elements of My Hero Academia's world wouldn't stand a chance. Even if he were to study up on the subject, All Might's body is still relatively human and doesn't provide a great deal of defense against Adam's electrical blasts.

6 Defeat: Solomon Grundy

Solomon Grundy is one of the most iconic heavyweights in DC. The man is a gangster turned zombie who quickly switches between being a favorite goon to the villain of the week or being a crime boss in his own right. He has super strength capable of clashing against some of DC's mightiest, and his near petrified body is capable of withstanding a variety of blows.

As sturdy as the zombie is, Grundy still doesn't pose much of a threat to All Might. Even if one were to assume that Grundy is a physical match to All Might, the hero's experience and creativity would help him circumvent the dumber foe. The flexibility of All Might's Quirk, One for All, means he can deal damaging blows to enemies from a distance, whereas Grundy's best long-distance tactic involves throwing things.

5 Lose Against: Reverse Flash

All Might is a standard-bearer for what overpowered looks like across anime. At the height of his powers, All Might had towering strength that was capable of manipulating air pressure and superhuman agility that should not have been possible by a man of his size. Though he's clearly far beyond typical human feats, All Might's strengths are not absolute, and he is susceptible to more specialized feats.

In comes Reverse Flash at godlike speed. Any variation of the yellow death is not only too quick for All Might to catch with his bare hands, but they're all powerful enough to run through All Might, leaving little more than a pink paste.

4 Defeat: Parasite

Parasite should be one of the most dangerous threats to All Might, especially considering the conditions of One for All. As a villain capable of sucking out the energy and stealing the abilities of his foes, Parasite is not only a lethal threat to the mighty hero but someone to be feared in the entire world of My Hero Academia.

However, as strong and versatile as Parasite might be, his danger lies in the fact that he needs to be able to touch his opponent to pose a threat. All Might has shown that he's not only fast enough to outpace Parasite but that he's also able to punch fast enough to avoid the immediate effects of Parasite's absorption, as evident in his fight against the first Nomu.

3 Lose Against: Lex Luthor

As stated earlier, All Might seems to take a lot of inspiration from super strong, American emblems like Marvel's Captain America and DC's Superman. While he does share certain traits with the Man of Steel, he doesn't exactly pose the same level of threat. That's where a human character like Lex Luthor gains a major advantage.

Not only does he have a brilliant mind that can outclass and outwit All Might, but Lex is also well equipped to handle much stronger foes. With contingency plans and an armory made to catch bigger fish than All Might, Lex Luthor could defeat the Symbol of Peace.

2 Defeat: Bane

All Might was once just a quirkless human who had the opportunity of a lifetime when he inherited the stacked will of One for All. With it, he's able to both carry and enhance the strength of past users, making him mightier than even other Quirks users. If there's anyone in the DC world that he could relate to the most, it might be the rags to stolen riches story of Batman's Bane.

Once just a weak boy who both trained himself in the depths of prison and partook of a highly experimental drug, Bane is gifted with incredible strength. However, that's where the comparisons stop. While Bane has rivaled several DC heavyweights, his strength doesn't hold a heavy enough candle to match All Might's enhancements.

1 Lose Against: Doomsday

All Might is one of the strongest and fastest heroes of My Hero Academia. Building off the legacy of several other heroes, All Might is a mastodon of power that threatens even the most overpowered being in his world. While his clash with All for One was certainly a testament to his ability to handle villains with more than muscles at their disposal, it was still a meager feat compared to the smallest outings of one of DC's walking Armageddons.

Doomsday is an alien, super mutant made to withstand and kill some of the universe's toughest obstacles. With even more world breaking encounters with Superman and the Justice League, Doomsday could certainly introduce All Might to a level of destruction that spans more than a few city blocks.
