Murder School Is In Session In Trailer For Rob Zombie's '31'

The first trailer for Rob Zombie's next horror epic has slashed its way online. The trailer runs through "31's" straightforward premise: a group of kidnapped road trippers fall prey to a sadistic ceremony held by a sadistic conglomerate. The prey learn they will play a game called 31, which has one rule: survive for 12 hours. Of course it's hard to survive when there are knife-carrying murder clowns and unsettling villains in powdered wigs around every corner. As the voiceover says, "31 is war, and war is hell -- and in hell, everybody loves popcorn."

Saban Films is handling the release of "31" in the United States. Having debuted at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, “31” is written and directed by Zombie, and stars Sheri Moon Zombie and Malcolm McDowell. It follows five kidnapped carnival works, who must survive 12 hours in a violent game against a group of sadistic clowns.

"31" releases September 16 on VOD, and hits theaters on October 21.
