Warner Bros. is known as a heavy hitter in the film and entertainment industries, but their overall reach is often underestimated. With the new video game MultiVersus being published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the possibilities for future characters and franchises are seemingly endless.

Its initial cast manages to link unlikely franchises together, including Game of Thrones, Looney Tunes, DC, Adventure Time and so many more. MultiVersus has earned some high early praise during its Closed Alpha phase, with its characters helping to cement this. It has the lofty aims of becoming the new Smash Bros but with its own identity, and an even more stacked roster that's full of Warner Bros. favorites is the way to go.

10 Rick & Morty Are Likely To Be Added

Being distributed by Warner Bros, Rick & Morty is one of the properties that will certainly be explored in MultiVersus. If it wasn't already guaranteed, the Closed Alpha for the game has introduced Mr. Meeseeks in both the tutorial and as an item used by Bugs Bunny.

Rick and Morty would both be logical characters to be introduced, even if some of their gimmicks would need to be reduced and stripped of any vulgarity or generally inappropriate behavior. Rick could prove to be a chaotic addition and would likely boast a bizarre range of attacks and quirks.

9 Inclusion Of The Gremlins Franchise Would Introduce Gizmo To The Chaos

Gizmo from Gremlins

Even for those who may not have seen the 1984 classic movie Gremlins, the image of the mogwai named Gizmo will still be familiar. Voiced by Howie Mandel, Gizmo is the main focus. In Gremlins, mistreatment of Gizmo spawns all sorts of problems and other mogwai.

The capabilities of the mogwai are showcased and they're much more menacing than initial appearances would suggest, especially when becoming Gremlins. Formulating Gizmo into a character fit to be in a fighting game would be interesting, but could be a fun way to get creative in its application.

8 Iconic Cartoon Network Characters Such As Johnny Bravo Would Add Considerable Depth To The Roster

With characters from Cartoon Network shows such as Steven Universe and Adventure Time already being a part of MultiVersus, it would be safe to say that more will likely follow. Johnny Bravo is one of several iconic Cartoon Network characters who would be a welcome addition to the MultiVersus roster.

The difference in art style and design appears to be no obstacle too great for the team working on the game. They have already managed to seamlessly incorporate the likes of Arya Stark and Shaggy, so Johnny Bravo could very well be a future addition.

7 Introducing The Flintstones Would Be Interesting

Fred and Wilma in the Flintstones

The Hanna-Barbera animation studio has brought franchises such as The Flintstones, Top Cat, Yogi Bear and several others to life over the years. It is now a part of the Warner Bros. family, having been absorbed by them in 2001.

These cartoon franchises may not offer too much in terms of conventional offense with their characters, but there are enough iconic names who could easily be adapted accordingly. Fred Flintstone could well be an addition to the roster, as yet another flex on the franchise characters that Warner Bros. have at their disposal.

6 The MonsterVerse Would Bring Some Gigantic Threats To The Roster

Godzilla vs. Kong was released in 2021, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Godzilla vs. Kong brought the major players of the MonsterVerse together in the titular duo, two behemoths that have been wreaking havoc in various movies for years.

While unclear how they would be scaled within the realms of MultiVersus, it is still possible for them to be included in the game. Both could arguably be efficient tanks upon inclusion, and they would certainly create some bizarre but curious combinations and interactions.

5 The Matrix Would Add Some Action Characters To Proceedings

Neo stops bullets in The Matrix

The Matrix franchise is owned by Warner Bros. and recently had a new entry with The Matrix Resurrections in 2021. This means that characters like Neo and Trinity may be considered as future additions to the MultiVersus roster.

It would certainly be interesting to see how the various logic-defying moves could be incorporated into the game, but it is certainly not outside the realm of possibility. While The Matrix may not be the first franchise to come to mind when thinking of Warner Bros., Neo is certainly an iconic enough character who would warrant being included in such a project.

4 Austin Powers Would Bring Fun And Chaotic Energy

It might be wishful thinking from fans, but the Austin Powers movie franchise was distributed by New Line Cinema and can be considered as a part of the extended Warner Bros. family.

Austin Powers would be a bizarre addition to MultiVersus, but with the game already showing a willingness to incorporate movie-specific jokes and gimmicks into certain movesets, it could work. Arya Stark's inclusion to the existing roster is another reason why live-action properties should not be overlooked as potential additions to MultiVersus.

3 Regular Show Characters Like Mordecai And Rigby Could Be Entertaining Additions

The inclusion of Regular Show characters in MultiVersus would depend on the overall direction that the game wants to go in. Smash Bros. has introduced plenty of characters that don't necessarily partake in fighting and violence, but the game manages to make it work.

MultiVersus has plenty of options to draw from when it comes to Cartoon Network properties and Regular Show is certainly a popular series. Mordecai and Rigby would be the characters to add, being the most recognizable from the series. As the initial roster has already shown, these characters are given movesets that reflect their known personalities, quirks, and gimmicks. Any Regular Show additions could well follow suit.

2 The Harry Potter Franchise Would Bring Many Potential Characters

Harry Potter stares straight ahead after taking Lucky Potion - The Half-Blood Prince

The Harry Potter franchise is the one of the most popular and well-known movie franchises of all time. Warner Bros. were especially proud of being a part of it and managed to get eight films out of the main series of movies. They are still involved with the Wizarding World as a part of the Fantastic Beasts films.

Harry Potter would be a logical addition to MultiVersus as a high-profile franchise and a flex on the overall roster that they can formulate. Bringing the likes of Harry, Hermione, Dumbledore and many others is an exciting prospect, although it would be hard to get the voice actors for every character.

1 Characters From The Lord Of The Rings Could Make The Transition Based On The Success Of Arya Stark's Inclusion

The Fellowship of The Ring, gathered together in LOTR

The Lord of the Rings film series was produced and distributed by New Line Cinema, now a part of Warner Bros. The prospect of characters from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies being introduced to MultiVersus is exciting because there are many possibilities.

While securing the voice actors may prove a stumbling block with certain characters, Gandalf, Aragorn and Legolas would be especially strong additions to MultiVersus. Each of the main fighting characters of the franchise could easily slot into the various classes that MultiVersus has to offer.
