The international poster for Disney's upcoming live-action remake of Mulan has been released, showcasing the two sides of the titular character as she heads off into battle.

Tweeted by Regal Cinemas Vice President of Media Chris Sylvia, the poster sees Hua Mulan (Liu Yifei) holding a sword while dressed in a red robe and standing in front of mountains while light hits her face and wind blows through her hair. In the background, an image of Mulan leading the Chinese army on horseback appears while a bird flies over the mountains.

While the entire poster is eyecatching, the true focal point is Mulan's sword. Within its blade, the image of Mulan's male alter ego Hua Jun appears instead of Mulan's true reflection, dressed in armor as opposed to Mulan's robe. This could indicate that Mulan will struggle with an identity crisis in trying to decide who she truly is.

Additionally, Japanese text covers the poster, with very little English text appearing, save for "Disney" and the film's Japanese theatrical release date of April 17.

Mulan is directed by Niki Caro and stars Liu Yifei, Donnie Yen, Yoson An, Gong Li and Jet Li. The film is scheduled to open on March 27, 2020.
