The following contains major spoilers for Ms. Marvel: Beyond the Limit #5, available now from Marvel.

By now, it is clear Ms. Marvel is a standout hero. Both here in our world and within the 616, Kamala Khan has arrived and made an undeniable impact.

What's been less clear is how her impact has echoed beyond her world. But thanks to the Ms. Marvel: Beyond the Limit series, we know now that Khan is a big deal across the multiverse.

Ms. Marvel: Beyond the Limit #5 (by Samira Ahmed, Andres Genolet, Ze Carlos, Triona Farrell, and VC's Joe Caramagna) has brought the titular hero and her allies face-to-face once more with Kamala's interdimensional nemesis, Qarin. During the struggle, the heroes make the startling revelation that the Ms. Marvel of the primary Marvel Universe has somehow made a quantum connection to her multiverse counterparts and the psychic connection with her current antagonist.

Despite eventually defeating Qarin, the implications are still genuinely horrifying in their destructive potential. Even worse, the mysterious man who has been adding to Ms. Marvel's trouble has just uncovered a way to reach Kamala's Variants. This brings the threat closer than Kamala has ever imagined.

Among the variants of Kamala is quite clearly an amalgamation of herself and Venom, seen just below the menacing visage of Warp World's own Kamala Kang. Their existence is a terrifying proposition, especially if these two iterations of Ms. Marvel prove to be more like their worse halves than her. However, that's only the most basic issues to arise from their appearance. Apart from the fact that any villainous Ms. Marvel would be a significant threat, the idea that they share some subatomic connection to the primary Kamala or one another puts the entire multiverse at risk.

Whatever quantum fallout may come from the primary Kamala borrowing matter from her alternates was already a cause for concern. Now that there is the possibility that a cadre of evil Ms. Marvels could borrow her powers in turn, effectively putting her out of the fight while amassing greater strength for themselves.

From the looks of things now, Kamala Khan might be about to face what will easily be the biggest fight of her life. It might envelop the entire Marvel Universe. For how capable she is, there is no doubt that any other version of her will be just as effective on the battlefield, if not more so. On the other hand, there is no real way to tell just what side of the fight these alternate versions of Kamala will choose. Hopefully, she won't be left alone to fend for herself against so many familiar but twisted faces when the time comes. If so, it may be the last thing that she ever does.
