Directed by Jon Watts from a script by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Far From Home saw Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland) heading to Europe with his friends on a school trip. However, while there, Peter receives his last present from Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.): E.D.I.T.H., a powerful artificial intelligence that gives the young hero access to a ton of powerful technology. Thinking his new ally is a more worthy hero, Peter eventually gives control of E.D.I.T.H. to Mysterio. In the end, though, Mysterio proves himself a villain and executes a massive drone attack that results in a lot of destruction and his own death.

At the box office, Far From Home performed admirably, earning more than $1.13 billion against a budget of around $160 million. Critically, Far From Home also fared well, and the film's rating on Rotten Tomatoes sits at 90 percent. Despite Far From Home's success, its sequel, 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, proved even more popular both commercially and critically.

At this time, little is known about the plot of Ms. Marvel. Disney+'s first synopsis for the series confirms protagonist Kamala Khan will remain a Pakistani American nerd from Jersey City and be a big fan of Captain Marvel. She eventually finds herself with superpowers of her own, though they'll seemingly be a bit different from those Kamala has in the comics. After appearing in Ms. Marvel, Khan will return in The Marvels, which releases Feb. 17, 2023.

Based on the character of the same name created by G. Willow Wilson, Adrian Alphona, Jamie McKelvie, Stephen Wacker and Sana Amanat, Ms. Marvel was officially announced in 2019. Filming on the series began in November 2020, with reshoots beginning in January.

Created by Bisha K. Ali, Ms. Marvel is slated to debut at some time in 2022.
