Ms. Marvel is one of the most important new heroes of the Marvel Universe, becoming a mainstay of the superhero franchise within months of her creation. As a relatively new figure within the universe, she's also only had a handful of possible alternate versions have been introduced -- including three unique versions of her potential that speak to specific elements of the character.

Now, we're taking a closer look at the future versions of Kamala Khan who have been introduced across the Marvel Multiverse.

PRESIDENT KHAN

In one world within the multiverse introduced in Tom Taylor and Ramon Rosanas' All-New Wolverine #33, the heroes of Earth were forced into all-out conflict during the Doom World War. Doom's attempts to take over the world resulted in the deaths of many heroes, the capture of even more, and the ultimate defeat of Doom, who was forced to trap himself and his captured heroes in a seemingly impenetrable Latveria. But with most of the villains dead in the conflict, the surviving heroes were able to rebuild the world and in many ways, make it better. Within decades, Madripor was at peace and with Laura Kinney -- the former Wolverine -- as its Queen.

When she discovers she has a fatal defect in her genetic code that will soon kill her, Laura decides to finally break into Latveria and finish off Doom once and for all. One of the first people she approaches about this is the President of the United States -- Kamala Khan. Khan is able to provide some ideas of what to do going forward, but can't officially take part in any attack. However, she does allow one of her Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maria Hill. to accompany Laura on this mission. This version of Kamala also appeared to the Earth-616 Bruno when he briefly saw into the possible futures of this world, suggesting President Khan might be a real possibility even in the core-Marvel Universe. President Khan is a version of the character who proves just how good of a leader Kamala could become, especially down the line.

AGENT KHAN

As a result of Secret Wars, the remaining realities of the multiverse were cobbled together to create a makeshift Battle-World. One such domain was New Attilan, ruled over by the Inhumans. On this world, a young Kamala Khan lost her family to an attack from a squadron of Ultron drones. She was taken in by the Queen of the Inhumans, Medussa, and Kamala became a skilled and impressive agent for the Inhuman government. Grown into adulthood by the events of Charles Soule and John Timms' Secret Wars: Attilan Rising, Kamala was sent to infiltrate the Quiet Room, Black Bolt's club designed to serve as a peaceful meeting ground for dignitaries and power players from other domains.

Kamala had perfected her shapeshifting to the point where she could pass for other people like Tony Stark, and she was a crucial agent in the fight against the Inhuman rebellion that had been growing beneath their feet. She served loyally at Queen Medusa's orders, fighting the resistance until Medusa ordered them to be released. She was also among the Inhumans seemingly caught in a massive explosion when Emperor Doom remade reality, suggesting she and the rest of that domain's Inhumans would also be remade. This is a version of Kamala who chooses to side fully with Inhumans and embrace that side of her life, becoming a powerful agent for her people.

KHAN

Ms Marvel Exiles Khan

As one of the grimmest versions of Kamala Khan in the multiverse, Khan was a superhero on her world well into her adulthood. She fought to protect the people she loved, specifically her husband Bruno and their daughter. However, in her reality, the world fell to in-fighting. mutants, Inhumans, humans, and Sentinels all turned on each other and decimated the planet with their destructive war. This resulted in countless being killed, including Bruno and Khan's daughter, who was specifically targeted by her world's version of Sabertooth, an Inhuman-massacring agent of Emma Frost. Left a bitter freedom fighter, Khan was unexpectedly dragged into the most recent incarnation of the multiversal traveling Exiles, helping fight threats from across realities starting in Saladin Ahmed and John Timms' Exiles.

She was seemingly killed bringing down an army of Kangs to provide Blink an escape to rescue the team. However, she was saved by a group of rogue Watchers, who wanted to bring down the Exiles. Khan led a team of other, more violent Exiles into battle with the main team -- even revealing that she'd been promised the return of her family if she completed the mission. But Lil' Wolvie, a friendly and cartoonish member of the team, is able to give her a change of heart that saves the Exiles. As an unexpected reward, the final reality-altering sacrifice of their teammate Iron Lad rescued Khan and restored her reality, even bringing her family back and letting her live a happy and full life. Khan is a reminder of how important Kamala's family is to her, and the lengths she might go if she were to lose them.
