Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani has proven her Iron Man fandom in a homemade video.

A video uploaded to Vimeo sees Vellani start her day surrounded by Marvel paraphernalia, scored by Billy Joel's "I Don't Want to Be Alone." She wakes up beneath an Invincible Iron Man poster, puts on a pair of Captain Marvel socks and sits down to, among other things, read a copy of an Avengers trae paperback and use her laptop with its large Iron Man decal. She then imagines a black-and-white stop motion sequence starring action figures, in which Iron Man meets Kamala Khan, calls her his "favourite Marvel" and dances with her. The description of the video reads "Rdj if u see this ily."

Vellani was cast in Ms. Marvel in September of last year. She'll play the lead role of Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American teenager from Jersey City who gets to live her superhero dream when she becomes the Magnificent Ms. Marvel. Vellani recognizes the significance of playing the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first Muslim superhero, saying, "The fact that the show is being made and they're including this character in the MCU is [what's important.] I don't really have to go out of my way and talk about being a Muslim and being Pakistani — it all comes out in the show. People seeing a person like me involved in a project as big as this is, I think, inspiring enough."

In addition to Iman Vellani, Ms. Marvel stars Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Matt Lintz, Zenobia Shroff and Mohan Kapur. Ms. Marvel is set to premiere on Disney+ in early 2022. Vellani will also co-star in the Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels alongside Brie Larson as Carol Danvers and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau. The film will release on Nov. 11, 2022.
