Marvel Studios President/Marvel Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige revealed just how much of a Marvel fan Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani is.

Vellani plays titular heroine Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel in the upcoming series. In the latest issue of Empire magazine, Feige discussed Vellani's admiration of Marvel, which included giving Feige a list of Marvel Cinematic Universe-centric questions that he said he keeps in his desk. "Much like Tom Holland and Peter Parker, Iman is a much bigger Marvel fan than we realized," Feige noted. "[On set] she carries this Unabomber notebook with her everywhere, with scribbles and ideas. And why wouldn't we want to hear them? Not just because she's playing the lead, but because if she wasn't playing the lead, she'd be commenting on the show online. So better comment before the show's done, and try to incorporate the best of those ideas."

This is not the first time Vellani being a fan of the House of Ideas was brought up, as Kamala Khan co-creator Sana Amanat recalled how this trait helped Vellani get the part of Kamala. Amanat recalled, "She showed me every corner of her room [during her Zoom audition], and it was covered with Avengers. Then she said, 'Oh wait, I'm not done,' opened up her closet, and there was more Marvel everywhere." Regarding the title character herself, Amanat recently stated that Kamala is on par with the MCU's bigger-name heroes.

As for Vellani, the actor opened up last year about what it was like for her playing the MCU's first Muslim superhero. "The fact that the show is being made and they're including this character in the MCU is [what's important]," observed Vellani. "I don't really have to go out of my way and talk about being a Muslim and being Pakistani — it all comes out in the show. People seeing a person like me involved in a project as big as this is, I think, inspiring enough." Vellani would later delve into her thoughts about watching herself as Ms. Marvel, which she summed up as "really weird."

Aside from Ms. Marvel, Vellani will also star in the upcoming film The Marvels alongside Brie Larson and Teyonah Parris, who will once again play the roles of Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau, respectively. Although full details about the project are currently being kept under wraps, Parris promised The Marvels is "gonna be pretty epic," while Larson praised its director Nia DaCosta and described the script as "bonkers."

Ms. Marvel premieres June 8 on Disney+.
