The filming schedule for Marvel Studios' upcoming Ms. Marvel series for Disney+ reportedly now aligns with other projects in development for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to The Illuminerdi, Marvel Studios is looking to cast someone for the role of Ms. Marvel who is available to shoot between July 2020 and June 2021. This is similar to a previous rumor stating the series would start shooting in late 2020, but additional information now leans towards the filming to last only four months, which leaves eight additional months for Kamala Khan to appear in other MCU projects like Captain Marvel 2 or a second season of Ms. Marvel.

There are reports that Captain Marvel 2 will have a 2022 release date, with filming falling in the period that the Ms. Marvel actor would be available for an appearance. Also, with big-screen movies typically only using three months to film, that still leaves time for Disney+ to squeeze in filming for Season 2 of Ms. Marvel, depending on the reception of the first season. The site also speculates on Ms. Marvel teaming up with other new MCU heroes for a Young Avengers project.

Ms. Marvel appearing in Captain Marvel 2 would make sense, considering Kamala Khan is inspired by Captain Marvel to become a superhero in the comics. Plus, if the MCU sticks with Ms. Marvel's origins as an Inhuman, their connection to the Kree also fits into Carol Danver's origin story.

While there is currently no release date for Ms. Marvel, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has assured the series, as well as Moon Knight and She-Hulk, could arrive as early as the end of 2020.
