Ms. Marvel directors and executive producers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah appear to have teased fans about a second season of the acclaimed Marvel Cinematic Universe series.

The directors shared a video on Instagram looking back on Ms. Marvel's first season. "Just reminiscing on our time spent in the MCU," the caption for the post reads. "[W]ho's ready for season 2?!" While no official announcement has been made as of this writing, recent reports have suggested that a second season of Ms. Marvel may happen after all. Daniel Richtman, an industry scooper, recently revealed that Marvel Studios has reportedly green-lit a Season 2 of the MCU series.

El Arbi and Fallah join Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani in their vocal support for a Season 2. "[Marvel doesn't] tell me anything so you're not gonna hear anything," Vellani said at D23. "Hopefully. We gotta start a petition or something." Aside from Loki and What If...?, none of Marvel Studios' series on Disney+ have been renewed for additional seasons. Although Vellani will reprise her role as Kamala Khan in the 2023 film The Marvels alongside Brie Larson and Teyonah Parris, Ms. Marvel's record-setting critical acclaim suggests a desire among fans to return to Jersey City.

Following The Marvels, Marvel fans may still be seeing plenty of Kamala Khan moving forward. Another recent report suggests that Kamala's bangle, which serves as a conduit for her mutant powers in the MCU, may be the Multiverse Saga's replacement for the Infinity Stones as the central item of power. The report also states that the ten rings featured in Shang-Chi share a similar extraterrestrial origin to the bangle.

Additionally, Ms. Marvel writer Fatimah Asghar recently described how she feels that Kamala could appear in the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars film. "I think that Kamala is a smaller scale person, and there's so much we have not seen," she said. "And so I think that, really, as we watch Kamala, I'm so excited to see her evolution and what she's capable of in terms of factoring into these bigger worlds, into these kind of really huge pieces that are coming up. And I actually think that Kamala is an incredible superhero and [she has a lot that] she's going to continue to grow into and add to the MCU."

Season 1 of Ms. Marvel is available to stream now on Disney+. The Marvels opens in theaters on July 28, 2023.
