When Kamala Khan makes her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Ms. Marvel, the young hero may be displaying a new power set.Promotional art for the Disney+ series was shared on Twitter, featuring Iman Vellani's Ms. Marvel in her superhero suit. However, surrounding her raised left forearm is a purple diamond-like energy signature. What makes this stand out is Ms. Marvel's superpower in the comics is her "embiggen" abilities, which allow her to stretch parts of her body to enormous degrees. So far, Marvel has not shown any powers like this for Kamala Khan, which leads to rumors of Ms. Marvel's abilities being changed for her streaming series.RELATED: Hawkeye: Marvel Reveals Disney+ Premiere Date with a New Photo

Ms. Marvel wrapped its Thailand shoot in May, despite the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic surging through the country. Episodes 4 and 5 of its first season were filmed in Thailand by director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy after Ms. Marvel obtained a waiver to continue production "as it was already observing strict anti-virus protocols." It has not been revealed how many episodes Season 1 of Ms. Marvel will run for.

The first official footage for Ms. Marvel was shown during Disney's Investors Day presentation in December 2020. Of course, set photos and videos also made their way online before the presentation by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, featuring Ms. Marvel donning her comics-accurate costume in her Jersey City neighborhood.

After her streaming series concludes, Ms. Marvel will join Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau in The Marvels, the sequel to 2019's Captain Marvel. As the name indicates, The Marvels will assemble the MCU's Marvel-themed heroes -- Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan have all used either the Captain Marvel or Ms. Marvel names in the comics.

Starring Iman Vellani, Ms. Marvel is expected to debut on Disney+ in the fall.
