Just because Shawn Levy is busy directing Real Steel and lining up a Fantastic Voyage remake with James Cameron -- no big deal -- that doesn't mean he can't keep himself occupied with other matters as well. Especially when other matters matter quite as much as this news does.

Levy is signed on to produce an animated film for 20th Century Fox based on Roger Hargreaves' glorious Mr. Men series of children's books, according to The Hollywood Reporter. There are 48 books in all to source the material from, which presumably means that the movie will feature a colorful world filled with cartoonish character flaws and well-learned lessons.

It won't be the first adaptation the series has seen; four animated TV series' precede this movie. But this one's going to the big screen, and Levy brings some strong experience into the equation. There's no director or writer attached yet, but who cares. A Mr. Men movie is coming!!!
