With states such as Texas reopening certain businesses after being closed for weeks due the coronavirus, movie theater owners are doing all they can to ensure that those who decide to venture out remain healthy and safe.

According to Variety, EVO Entertainment will open two theaters on Monday with "airport security-style check-in." Guests will be asked at the front door if anyone in their household experiences flu-like symptoms in the last two weeks and have their temperature taken. Anyone over 100.4 degrees will be turned away.

"I feel like it’s really important for our guests to come in and see what we’re doing to protect them," CEO Mitchell Roberts said. "The focus is on earning that customer confidence back."

Theaters were allowed to open in Texas starting on May 1. However, they can only fill screening rooms at 25 percent capacity. Despite the optional opening order, many theaters are opting to remain closed. The 25 percent limit and the lack of new film releases make it financially questionable for many to resume business.

Texas is not the only state to reopen its theaters. Georgia allowed theaters to open on April 27. Other states, including California, will remain closed for the foreseeable future.
