Fox's animated adaptation of David Petersen's acclaimed comic Mouse Guard has added one of the stars of Crazy Rich Asians.

Sonoya Mizuno, who played the bride of the initial wedding in the blockbuster romantic comedy, will play an unspecified role in the upcoming film from director Wes Ball (The Maze Runner franchise). She is expected to appear as one of the titular ensemble of mouse protectors.

Mizuno joins a cast that already includes Idris Elba, Andy Serkis, Giancarlo Esposito, Sonoya Mizuno and Thomas Brodie-Sangster

The cast is expected to participate in motion-capture performances as well as voice acting to adapt the Eisner Award-winning series of the same name from BOOM! Studios, about a medieval-style world in which anthropomorphic animals mice valiantly defend less able-bodied rodents. Production is expected to begin soon.

Prior to her role in Crazy Rich Asians, Mizuno appeared on the Netflix series Maniac, and will next be seen in Alex Garland's upcoming FX miniseries Devs.
