It's not often that two characters are just made for each other. Whether it's their personalities or how they play off each other, some couples just have a certain spark that makes their relationship work. Yuri on Ice is a perfect example. One of the best parts of the series is seeing Yuri and Victor grow to love each other.

Even though Haruhi is forced to be a host, it makes her more outspoken and strong. They support each other and teach each other to be braver. When Tamaki was engaged to someone he didn't love, he would have gone through with it if it wasn't for Haruhi pushing for him to speak his mind. If Tamaki hadn't taught Haruhi to be a stronger person, she wouldn't have even tried to stop his engagement in the first place.

She gave him access to more abilities and power. Not to mention, she provided the perfect alibi when he needed it. They are an unusual couple for sure, but without each other, L surely would have won and both of them would have been locked up for the rest of their lives.
