Despite being a fictional anime, Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple is inspired by actual martial arts, featuring techniques that, while they might be exaggerated for the purposes of the show, are similar to techniques used in reality. Over the course of the series, Kenichi, his enemies, and even his allies have debuted powerful techniques that they've used to get the upper hand during street fights, sometimes to the point at which Kenichi's masters are even left stunned and impressed.

Since many of the moves used by Kenichi's masters are either too overpowered and sometimes aren't even real techniques but just simple maneuvers that have devastating effects due to their immense levels of strength, it wouldn't really be fair to include the moves used by Kenichi's teachers or anyone else on their level in an analysis of the strongest techniques in the series.

10 Ti Lan

Kenichi Uses the Ti Lan On Takeda - Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple

Despite not belonging to the legendary Eight Fists of Ragnarok, Takeda was a force to be reckoned with. Not only was he quick on his feet, but his jabs were lightning-fast.

Appachai knew that a boxer would be tough for Kenichi to beat, which is why he taught him the Ti Lan, a powerful Muay Thai low kick that nearly crippled Takeda and dampened his mobility, leaving him open for more devastating blows.

9 Yamazuki

Kenichi Uses the Yamazuki - Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple

Kenichi's used the Yamazuki catch his opponents off guard, since the technique takes advantage of the average fighter's psyche more than anything else. Since it delivers one punch to the face and another to the gut at the same time, its effectiveness lies in the possibility that the victim won't be able to defend against the lower blow, since they'll most likely try to guard their face.

Even when Kenichi used it again Odin as a part of his killer combo, Odin remarked that against any other fighter that lacked his Seikuken, it would've worked.

8 Double Palm

Kenichi Uses the Double Palm On Hermit - Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple

When Kenichi first used the Double Palm against Hermit, it was strong enough to shatter Hermit's defenses completely. Despite being a practitioner of martial arts for years, he was stunned that a novice like Kenichi knew one of the "eight punches", and said himself that Kenichi's Double Palm was stronger than anything he himself could pull off.

Of course, Kenichi's Double Palm was only so powerful due to his amazing instructors, although the move's biggest weakness is that it's fairly easy to block if the user doesn't put their full power behind the attack.

7 Hidden Staffs

Freya Fighting With Her Staff - Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple

As Ragnarok's Third Fist, Freya was one of the strongest members of Ragnarok, and was undoubtedly the strongest woman in the gang period. Though she could use an array of weapons, her secret technique relied on her Hidden Staffs.

Freya came up with the ingenious idea of shortening a full-size staff and cutting it into two separate pieces that she could hide in her sleeves in order to surprise her opponents with strikes powerful enough to create a hole through concrete. She could also recombine her staffs if she ever needed to extend her range. Due to her mastery over this technique, her enemies could never get close to her, and many didn't even see her attacks coming in the first place.

6 Double Hammer Kick

Kisara's Double Hammer Kick - Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple

Kisara's Hammer Kick was something to be feared. Most fighters who took the blow could barely muster the strength to stand up.

Her Double Hammer Kick proved to be twice as effective, and was strong enough to shatter Freya's staff which, on its own, was stronger than concrete.

5 Spear Hand Technique

Loki's Spear Hand Technique - Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple

For most of the series, Loki resorted to dirty tricks to get the upper hand on others. Most notably, he used body doubles to keep his opponents busy while he performed reconnaissance from the sidelines. When his assistant, Number 20, held Kenichi's younger sister Honoka hostage, Loki took full advantage of Kenichi's hesitance to strike while his sister was in danger.

He debuted his infamous Spear Hand Technique, a karate move so powerful that it impressed the likes of Sakaki, a karate master. The instant his punches made contact with Kenichi, he tightened his fists, creating a burst of energy that doubled his power. The technique was so powerful that he was able to hit Kenichi multiple times with a single punch. Unfortunately for him, Kenichi's honed endurance enabled him to take every single blow, but that didn't stop him from suffering from a bit of internal damage due to the lethal force behind each attack.

4 Mubyoshi

Kenichi Uses His Mubyoshi Punch - Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple

While Kenichi may not have been as much of a seasoned fighter as many of the other warriors he fought, the thing that often saved him the most was the fact that he'd been training in so many different martial arts, so whenever he was in a pinch, there was always some kind of technique to get him out of trouble. When he went up against Siegfried, who read the rhythm in his strikes, he debuted a rhythmless punch to throw the Fifth Fist off.

The punch incorporated different aspects of the arts he'd studied, which is why it's a move unique only to him. He used the attack against Odin during their final battle as well to land a decisive hit, managing to pierce right through his Seikuken. The Mubyoshi soon became a regular part of his arsenal, since few martial artists knew how to handle it.

3 Piguaquan

Hermit's Piguaquan Style - Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple

Having been trained by Kensei Ma's older brother, Sogetsu, Hermit's technique revolved more around crushing his opponents with absolute strength. When he first encountered Kenichi and their battle traversed to a moving bus, he debuted perhaps his most lethal technique: Piguaquan. It's such an advanced technique that even Kensei was shocked to see such a young fighter like Hermit having mastered it.

It consisted of Hermit using both arms like whips, leaving no opening for his opponent to counter. The technique was so strong that it enabled Hermit to bend a part of the steel bus roof with his bare hand, and later made enabled him to nail Kenichi with several devastating blows when the two fought several episodes later.

2 Berserker Mode

Beserker's Beserker Mode Against Hermit - Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple

As Ragnarok's Second Fist, Berserker was the next most powerful fighter in Ragnarok next to Odin. He didn't really fight using tried and true techniques like most of the other characters. He was a streetfighter who relied on his instincts to get the job done. After being knocked down during his fight against Hermit, he went into Berserker Mode, a state in which he ran off pure adrenaline, nullifying his pain and doubling his power.

This technique also made his strikes extremely unpredictable with no rhyme or reason behind them, meaning that for many martial artists, it took every ounce of concentration they had to evade the flurry of attacks. Even Hermit, as skilled as he was, was forced to endure Berserker's Berserker Mode until the gaudy fighter left him an opening.

1 Seikuken

Kenichi and Odin Using The Seikuken - Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple

The most powerful technique shown is Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple is the Seikuken, which allows a fighter to control the entire radius around them within arms reach. Using the Seikuken, one can deflect and avoid any blows that get near them and strike back with lethal accuracy as long as the opponent remains close.

The technique was essentially a near-impenetrable shield, and enabled Odin to block everything Kenichi threw at him during their first encounter. Of course, its biggest downside is that it requires a clear mind to pull it off, meaning that in the heat of battle, only the most disciplined, levelheaded warriors would be able to use this technique to their advantage.
