The weapon is synonymous with the Star Wars franchise. As a huge part of Star Wars, many of the individual lightsabers are iconic and recognizable.

Kylo Ren lightsaber for Iconic Lightsabers

While the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy is a controversial topic, one thing most fans can agree on is how recognizable Kylo Ren's lightsaber is. It's unique because it's the first lightsaber to be presented with a crossguard. This crossguard isn't just for show. When caught in blade locks, Kylo has used the crossguard to stab his enemies. The blade's appearance is also unique in that it has a distinctly unstable look to it.

Obi-Wan Kenobi's lightsaber has seen many battles, from the various battlefields of The Clone Wars to his final duel against Darth Vader in A New Hope. His lightsaber was notably the template for Luke Skywalker's weapon as Luke used the instructions Obi-Wan had left behind to construct it.

This lightsaber was the third constructed by the Jedi Master. The first lightsaber Obi-Wan built was lost during his duel with Darth Maul and his second blade was lost before the battle of Geonosis. His last lightsaber ended up in Darth Vader's collection after Obi-Wan's death on the Death Star.

7 Master Yoda's Lightsaber Was Almost Passed Down

Yoda's Lightsaber for Iconic Lightsabers

Master Yoda's small lightsaber is one of the more interesting weapons introduced in Star Wars, as its scaled-down size matches its wielder. Despite this fact, Yoda was still quite formidable with this lightsaber in hand.

Yoda seemingly lost this weapon during his fight with Darth Sidious in Revenge Of The Sith and vowed to never use one again during his exile. Surprisingly, this weapon would turn up many years later in the possession of Luke Skywalker who offered it to Grogu. Grogu rejected that offer, deciding to return the lightsaber to his father figure, Din Djarin.

Count Dooku's lightsaber was inspired by Filipino swords and weapons. Most notably, his lightsaber mimicked a type of curved sword called a Barong. The first green lightsaber fans of Star Wars ever saw was Luke Skywalker's in Return Of The Jedi. A deleted scene from Return Of The Jedi shows Luke constructing the lightsaber before setting off to Jabba's palace to rescue Han Solo.

This lightsaber would see further use throughout Return Of The Jedi, especially during Luke's final duel against Darth Vader. He eventually casts it aside when the Emperor tries to convince him to kill his father. Since the lightsaber appears in later Star Wars scenes, it's safe to assume Luke retrieved it before he escaped the second Death Star.

Both of Darth Sidious' lightsabers appeared only in one Star Wars film, with the first being the one he always kept up his sleeve. His other lightsaber was kept hidden inside a sculpture within his office and wouldn't see much use until he lost his other lightsaber in his duel against Mace Windu.

Palpatine rarely wielded these blades, as he actually favored his manipulation skills and force abilities more. Despite the fact that he never practiced using these weapons, Darth Sidious was a master of all seven forms of lightsaber combat.

During the Original Trilogy Era, Luke takes up his father's weapon until he loses it, and his hand, in a duel with Darth Vader on Bespin. Finally, during the Sequel Trilogy, it becomes Rey's primary weapon of choice until she finally builds her own weapon at the very end of The Rise Of Skywalker.
