It's no longer unusual for fans to fall in love with the villains instead of the heroes. Thor has Loki, Avatar: The Last Airbender has Azula, and Harry Potter has Draco Malfoy. However, this isn't always the case, especially not for the unlikable Disney Channel villains.

Sticking to Disney's child-friendly standards, most villains in Disney Channel movies have a life-changing redemption arc. This teaches young children about believing in people and changing for the better. However, this doesn't always make the villains likable. Some characters remain unlikable even after becoming an improved version of themselves, having caused so much emotional turmoil that fans refuse to forgive and forget.

7 Failure And Hatred Runs In The Kalabar Name (Halloweentown Series)

Kal from Halloweentown

Kalabar and Kal are the main antagonists of Halloweentown and Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge. Hatred for humans in the Kalabar family originates from Gwen Piper leaving Kalabar for a mundane life. Fueled by his past, Kalabar wishes to punish humans for banishing Creatures from their realm. After Kalabar's historic defeat, Kal tweaks his father's original plan, intending to turn humans into monsters instead of simply dominating the mortal realm.

Halloweentown is a cult favorite. Hatred for these two villains mostly derives from the havoc they've caused in Halloweentown. The complete ill-treatment of the wholesome grandma-grandaughter duo, Aggie and Marnie, is also unforgivable. Halloweentown is high on the list of fictional Disney Channel places that fans would love to visit. Turning everything gray and dull is a punishable offense.

6 Jennifer Stone Was A Terrifying Superior Before Becoming A Dear Friend (Cadet Kelly)

Cadet Kelly and Cadet Captain Kelly

Cadet Kelly is an underrated Disney Channel movie with an even more underrated cast of characters. Cadet Captain Jennifer Stone started off as the main antagonist of Cadet Kelly. Between verbally abusing juniors and tearing rainbow blankets, it wasn't hard for the audience to hate her as much as Kelly did.

Kelly is an artistic fashionista who's forced to go to military school due to her stepfather's relocation. Kelly has to deal with being called "maggot" every single day. Jennifer is a high-strung Captain with an unbreakable determination to prove herself. She comes off as wicked and unlikeable but has an almost tear-jerking redemption arc. Fans spend half of Cadet Kelly hating and fearing Jennifer, but audiences ultimately admire the relationship she develops with Cadet Kelly.

5 Princess Audrey Proves That It Doesn't Take Evil Parents To Be A Villain (Descendants 3)

Audrey in Descendants 3

Princess Audrey is the daughter of the beloved Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty. Every Disney Channel teen flick must have a mean girl, and Audrey proudly takes the throne for this title in the Descendants trilogy.

In Descendants, Audrey was a childish bully who mistreated the Villain Kids (VKs) in a rotten power move. In the grand scheme of things, spreading rumors to ignite some high school drama is rather trivial. In the face of dark magic and world domination, ostracizing a group is the least of her crimes. As the main antagonist of Descendants 3, Audrey steals Maleficent's scepter to turn all of Auradon to stone. The VKs may have forgiven her, but the writers never really gave Audrey a redemption arc. This makes her one of the least likable Disney Channel characters.

4 Tess Tyler Needs To Pick A Side And Stick To It (Camp Rock Series)

Camp Rock's Tess Tyler, Peggy, and Ella

In the first Camp Rock, Tess Tyler is the designated mean girl who bullies anyone she deems unworthy of respect. At the end of the movie, she spends her time crying in a dark corner after being abandoned by the people she mistreated. Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam starts with the gang welcoming Tess back with open arms, forgiving any wrongdoings from the first film. Later, she abandons her friends yet again.

Tess is a nasty antagonist at the beginning of every film and is quickly forgiven by the end of every film. Tess doesn't have an iconic enough charm for fans to love. Without a sparkling persona, Tess constantly reverting to her less-than-pleasant tendencies is counterproductive.

3 Ray Beech Is Nasty (Lemonade Mouth)

Ray from Lemonade Mouth

Ray Beech is a member of the school's second favorite band, Mudslide Crush. Before the band Lemonade Mouth was created, Ray ruled the school. He was a member of the soccer team, lead singer of the most popular band, and was one of the most worshipped kids in school.

When Lemonade Mouth overturns the high school hierarchy, Ray throws a fit. He does everything he can to sabotage their chances of taking his place on top of the pyramid. He's rude, sneaky, and an all-around jerk. He has little to no redeemable qualities.

2 Val's Entire Identity Revolves Around Being A Menace To Society (Brink!)

Val Brink

Perhaps Val being a villain of a not-so-well-known Disney Channel movie is a blessing in disguise. There are two types of skaters in Brink!, those who skate for fun and those who skate for money. Val is part of the latter. Val is money-driven, never taking his eyes off the prize. He isn't beyond using devious methods to win competitions - not even when these methods injure other people in the process.

Val doesn't care about anyone but himself; he is fully aware of Brink's financial insecurity and exploits it. He's blinded by fame and fortune, having absolutely no remorse about what he must do to get them. Val verbally abuses his peers and physically harms his opposers. Overall, Val is one-dimensional and far too unlikable to deserve any sort of redemption.

1 Meredith Blake Is Like Disney Channel's Cruella De Vil (The Parent Trap)

Meredith Blake in Parent Trap

The hatred for Meredith Blake runs deep. Unlike Cinderella's stepmother, Meredith never enslaved Hallie Parker and Annie James. However, she is still wicked and heinous. Meredith Blake is an odious 26-year-old woman who's looking to expand her riches by conning vineyard owner, Nick Parker, into a marriage. Fortunately, his twins see right through her. Like the spoiled brat Meredith truly is, she can't fathom the idea of sharing the spotlight in Nick's life with his daughters.

Meredith concocts a plan to get rid of Hallie the moment they tie the knot. Meredith is portrayed as a menacing antagonist, going as far as being compared to the nefarious Cruella de Vil from the classic 101 Dalmatians. Meredith Blake is a greedy, manipulative, and narcissistic woman who has earned the title of the most disliked villain in Disney Channel movies.
