Six Feet Under and Undeclared alum* Timm Sharp has found himself some Enlightenment - He'll be replacing Mos Def as Laura Dern's boss on the new HBO comedy of the same name.

Sharp will be a late replacement for Def, who starred as the boss of Dern's reformed loser in the pilot for the new series, but departed when deal talks broke down for the full series, according to Deadline Hollywood. Shooting on the series starts today, with Sharp's first scenes next week. Also attached to the series is director Mike White, better known for writing Jack Black comedy School of Rock.

(* - Let's just ignore his stint in Til Death, shall we?)
