'Mortal Kombat X' trailer delivers bone-crunching, blood-spurting action

If all the promotional material for Mortal Kombat X has left you wondering what happened to all the blood and gore, this trailer is for you.

Unveiled this morning by Maxim Russia and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the Shaolin trailer turns the spotlight on Kung Lao, Liu Kang and newcomer Kung Jin, and doesn't hold back on any of the decapitations, crushed skulls or bloody throat-punches fans have come to expect from the franchise. Needless to say, this probably isn't safe for viewing at work.

Arriving April 14 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, Mortal Kombat X offers players the ability to chooses from multiple variations of each character, which affects both strategy and fighting style.
