Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released the Mortal Kombat X launch trailer, directed by System of a Down’s Shavo Odadjian and set to the tune of the band's signature hit "Chop Suey!"

Featuring glimpses of iconic moments, new and returning characters, and plenty of fight sequences, it's not nearly as graphic as that Shaolin trailer, but there's still plenty of spurting blood and crunching bones to be had. Enough that it's probably not quite safe for work (but what are you doing watching a video-game trailer at work, anyway?).

Developed by NetherRealm Studios, Mortal Kombat X offers players the ability to choose from multiple variations of each character, which affects both strategy and fighting style. Gamers step into an original story showcasing some of the franchise's most prolific characters, including Scorpion and Sub-Zero, while introducing new challengers.

Mortal Kombat X arrives April 14 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
