When the first trailer for Mortal Kombat 11 was released, a number of fans didn't care for the song the video was set to: rapper 21 Savage's new song "Immortal."

However, one enterprising fan remixed the ultra-violent trailer with the iconic theme song from the original Mortal Kombat, and the results are every bit as glorious as you'd expect.

YouTube user Izuniy remixed the trailer with the song "Techno Syndrome (Mortal Kombat)" from techno group the Immortals, who were responsible for putting the song out for the game's soundtrack in 1994.

It fits the tempo of the fight between Dark Raiden and Scorpion way better than 21 Savage's sound, which some fans felt didn't match the pace and intensity of a battle where both warriors engaged in brutalities, x-ray combos and an array of special moves in the build-up to some gory fatalities.

The iconic theme song matches the overall mood of combat and has become iconic in pop culture. Not to mention, it gets you hyped for the time-bending adventure to come following the shattering events of Mortal Kombat X, which saw Shinnok's reign end and new threats rising.

The Immortals' song actually came out in 1993, when the game was released in consoles, just a year after Mortal Kombat became an arcade phenomenon. The song would also become a staple in the Kombat movies, 1995's Mortal Kombat and 1997's Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.

Mortal Kombat 11 will be released on Apr. 23 for PS4, Xbox One and Switch.
