NetherRealm Studios has released a trailer for Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath showcasing the power of Friendships, which are comedic finishers available in lieu of the game's fatalities.

The clip clocks in at under two minutes and brings back a couple of classic Friendships from Mortal Kombat II. Set to Smash Mouth's cover of "Why Can't We Be Friends," Liu Kang's disco dancing finish makes an appearance, as well as Raiden's Kidd Thunder. Other Friendships on display include old-school Scorpion harpooning a teddy bear, Sub-Zero with a lolly cart, Shao Kahn using his hammer for the High Striker carnival game and Jax playing the sax. There are also new faces showcased, such as Fujin flying a kite with his wind powers, Sindel sipping wine and Terminator performing tricks on a motorcycle and giving his iconic thumbs up from Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
