In its latest character reveal trailer, Mortal Kombat 11 has unleashed Sub-Zero's former protege, Frost, in all of her icy glory, upgraded as one of the Lin Kuei's cyber assassins.

In the two-and-a-half-minute clip, the cyber ninja takes on her former mentor, Sub-Zero, and we see a bunch of moves similar to the Cyber Sub-Zero warrior from Mortal Kombat X. What's most interesting is how Frost detaches her head and uses it as the main weapon in her arsenal, adding an extra dimension to what we've seen in the past from fellow robots like Cyrax and Sektor.

To cap off her chilling performance, Frost performs a Fatality by freezing her ex-master and then pulling out his brain and spine in an homage to his own death blow before placing it into a blank robot. This hints that the Lin Kuei is looking to create an even bigger robot army as they side with the time goddess Kronika in the war to come, with Cyber Sub-Zero as a priority again.

Frost made her debut in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance and is known as the female equivalent of her teacher. In MKX, however, she was seen to be disobedient, cameoing and attacking Scorpion against her leader's wishes, which means she's far from being redeemed by Sub-Zero at this point.

Mortal Kombat 11 is developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive. It will be released tomorrow for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
