The character reveal trailer for Mortal Kombat 11's Shang Tsung also revealed Spawn will join the hit video game franchise

The end of the trailer reveals Spawn, Sindel and Nightwolf will also be added to same the DLC pack containing Tsung. The Spawn reveal comes as no surprise as fans speculated for months now he'd be involved, with his creator Todd McFarlane outing him last December as a guest combatant.

As for Tsung himself, the sorcerer is seen shapeshifting in battle, taking on forms of ninjas such as Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot for his x-ray move, as well as changing into Rain, Reptile, Ermac and Smoke during gameplay. It is believed as the kryptkeeper in the game, he's harnessing the power of dead souls, evident from his fatality where his opponent is ripped apart by another deceased warrior he summons in: Kintaro.

The end of the trailer also features the sound of a buzzsaw, hinting at Ash from the Evil Dead franchise. There's also closing music similar to that heard in Terminator, which indicates references to Ash and Terminator players uncovered in game files might indeed mean they'll appear in the game.
