Morgan Spurlock has a new movie opening in limited release this Friday, POM Wonderful Presents The Greatest Movie Ever Sold. For his latest trick, the Super Size Me director is taking on the game of marketing. I think the IMDb synopsis sums it up best: “A documentary about branding, advertising and product placement that is financed and made possible by brands, advertising and product placement.”
To promote the movie, Spurlock had a bunch of title-bearing stickers strategically placed on urinal cakes in public restrooms across Los Angeles. To ensure that the stunt reaches a wider audience than the small-bladdered men of LA, he also tweeted a link to a Flickr page containing images of the stickers in their new homes. Which looks pretty much like you imagine it looks: a bunch of photos of toilets.
