CBR has an exclusive first look at the official 4DX  and ScreenX posters for Morbius, Sony Pictures' upcoming Jared Leto-led Marvel spinoff film.

The first poster is vertical while the second is horizontal. They feature similar combinations of reds and greens, though the latter has an overall darker aesthetic. At any rate, the two posters are very similar in that they highlight the disparity between Dr. Michael Morbius (Leto) and his blood-sucking alter ego, Morbius the Living Vampire.

4DX is a 4D film format developed by CJ 4DPlex that allows films to be augmented with various practical effects, such as motion seats, wind, scents and more. CJ CGV -- the South Korean theater chain that owns CJ 4DPlex -- has licensed this technology worldwide, with CJ 4DPlex operating 678 4DX theaters in 65 different countries as of 2019. As of 2020, there are approximately 32 4DX theaters in the United States, most of which are available at Regal Cinemas locations. In 2018, Regal announced plans to open a total 79 4DX theaters nationwide. ScreenX, meanwhile, offers an expanded 270-degree look at films thanks to its panoramic format. The technology was introduced in 2012, and as of 2020, it's available in 316 theaters.

Morbius is set to release on Friday, April 1 as the third entry in Sony's franchise of Marvel spinoff films starring members of Spider-Man's rogues' gallery, following 2018's Venom and 2021's Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Directed by Daniel Espinosa, the film follows Michael Morbius, a doctor who is attempting to cure the blood disease he and many others suffer from. However, the cure might be worse than the disease, as Morbius ends up transforming himself into a "living vampire."

The "cure" is stolen by Morbius' lifelong friend Milo (Matt Smith), who suffers from the same disease and similarly transforms himself into a vampire in order to rid himself of it. However, whereas Morbius is afraid of his newfound vampiric abilities, Milo embraces them, becoming a dangerous adversary in the process. Said Smith, "The idea that Michael is trying to deny his instincts as this creature is just beguiling to Milo. Why? 'We've spent all our lives hobbling around, feeling second-best. And suddenly we feel like gods. And you're gonna throw it away because that's the good thing to do?'"

In addition to Leto and Smith, Morbius stars Adria Arjona as Martine Bancroft, Jared Harris as Dr. Nicholas, Al Madrigal as Alberto Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson as Simon Stroud. Additionally, Michael Keaton reprises his role as Adrian Toomes/Vulture from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Keaton's Vulture has been notably absent from the MCU since his debut appearance in 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming.
