Spider-Man Villain Morbius Lands Marvel Comics Series Ahead of Solo Film

Morbius, the Living Vampire and on-again/off-again antagonist of Spider-Man, is about to receive a new comic book series this November ahead of the character's cinematic debut next year.

Marvel Comics has announced writer Vita Ayala (Shuri) and artist Marcelo Ferreira (Absolute Carnage vs. Deadpool) are teaming up for the new series, as Michael Morbius continues to search for a cure for his insatiable vampiric nature. The description of the new series and cover illustrated by Ryan Brown are below:

With the upcoming Sony film starring Jared Leto as the popular vampire opening in theaters everywhere in July, the comic book series will give new readers and longtime fans a chance to learn more about the tortured antihero.

Morbius #1 is written by Vita Ayala and illustrated by Marcelo Ferreira. It is scheduled to go on sale in November from Marvel Comics.
