Moon Knight, one of the upcoming Marvel television series set to be released on Disney+, has finally established a date to begin production.

Filming for Moon Knight is scheduled to start on Nov. 16 of this year, according to Production Weekly. Production will continue over twenty-six weeks under the working title “Good Faith.”

Moon Knight was announced by Kevin Feige at last year’s D23 Fan Expo, alongside separate shows She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel. These will be among the first Marvel television programs launched on Disney's own streaming service, a major shift from the Marvel/Netflix deal made five years ago. Jeremy Slater, who wrote the screenplays for Netflix’s adaptation of Umbrella Academy, will be serving as head writer. It was rumored that Marvel had asked Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe to play the lead, but he rebuffed those claims.

Making his debut in 1975’s Werewolf by Night #32, Moon Knight is the vigilante identity of Marc Spector, an ex-mercenary who, during a mission, is left for dead near the site of an Egyptian temple. Spector is revived by the moon god Khonshu in exchange for becoming his avatar on Earth. He regularly adopts various identities, like millionaire Steven Grant, to fight criminals. Moon Knight notably suffers from mental illness, occasionally calling into question his heroics as little more than a psychological delusion.

Moon Knight seems to involve a much darker storyline as compared to She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel, suggested by rumors that horror characters Werewolf by Night and Dracula would be appearing. No release date has been announced yet.
